This was the first time that we have actually booked a villa in Florida with Travel city direct and I have to admit that it was the best experience of my life. This was our 3rd trip to Florida and our first experience with travel city villas. The last two times we went Florida we booked the villa with other company’s.
For a bit of advice I would suggest booking the villa car and flight separately as it is a lot cheaper but a bit more complicated. As it is Florida the home of theme parks I bet you are thinking that I am going to blabber on about them but I’m not because the thrill we had out of the villa made the holiday.
When you book a villa you usually have a choice of picking them up at the airport or at a private secure box. From past experience it is best to pick up at the airport because on our second trip we used the box and when we got there we found no keys. If you chose to get them at the airport you can get a more detailed description on where to find your villa. This is helpful as the Villas are about an hour away from the airport.
We had booked a 6 bedroom luxury villa for 3 families which came up to 11 people. My family my aunties family and my grandparents. This brings the price down to about 333 pond a family but we had tons of room left.
When we arrived at the villa our first impressions were rather good. Once we had settled in we found some major faults to the villa. We had been 3 times and we knew the standards. These are some of the faults:-
1) Around the pool there were ants ever ware there was a big trail of them going underneath the netting and out the other side. 2) There was a pool cap missing so if you got your foot in there we could of broke an ankle. 3) In the Jacuzzi screws were sting out and I sliced my foot. 4) Up stairs there were live wires hanging out of the wall. 5) There was a pylon missing on the balcony and because we had small children with us they could of fell through it. 6) The washing machine was broke.
We were in luck our grandparents are the best complainers ever. After getting in contact with Travel city they sent out someone to have a look. She was a right bitch she was some fat young blonde women from Manchester with a high pitch voice. She blamed most of the faults on us so this led to a lot of shouting and resorting to her just leaving. The next day we were told to go down to the main office in Kissimmee (not sure about spelling) which wasn’t very far. We went down and they offered us a new villa in the ala carte rating (the best).We accepted and when we arrived at the villa to pick up our belonging workmen were already there repairing it up. (Surprise Surprise) The new villa was on the same villa estate which was highland reserve.
We got to the new villa and it was amazing it was huge and the pool was just unbelievable just have a look at the picture I posted. There was nothing special about the interior of the villa it was just the pool. Normally they are just bog standard polls but this must have been the best on highland reserve. For starters the pool was huge about 7 times the size of a normal pool in Florida. There was block paved floors there were water falls and real exotic plants surrounding the pool even a banana tree. The wild life in there was amazing harmful lizard’s climbing up the netting frogs ,praying mantises even turtles and even evil looking spiders. This was all to our self’s and we really did live the high life in them short 2 weeks.
Travel city have offered us a new villa for just one week for all the troubles but we have told the to shove it up there ass and come up with better compensation.
I am not sure how much it would be to rent this villa but I would say around 3 grand for the two weeks.
