---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hotel: This Travel lodge is very handy for exploring the city of London as its only 4 minutes away by car or a short train trip. The hotel is very isolated as your surrounded by mostly office buildings. So very limited if you fancy a night time stroll.
The hotel has a bar cafe, we used this in the evenings and had plenty of choice. The light snack meals are a good deal, see tables for latest deals. We had the nachos and cheese for £3.99 and this was plenty enough for 2 people.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rooms: The bedrooms are very clean and provided plenty of room for a family. All rooms come with a TV/SAT , TEA/COFFEE MAKING, HAIRDRYER, PHONE, ROOM SERVICE.
Ask for room looking over the carpark, other wise your views not nice of a busy road which can be quit noisy. The car park side is less noisy and better views. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Price: We paid on our last visit £56 per night for a family of 4. Rooms are cheaper at the weekends than midweek, ideal for a family trip to London.

Exit M25 to A2, head towards Blackwall Tunnel. Take A102 through tunnel, follow A13 (Barking). Turn right at traffic lights signposted Isle of Dogs/ City Airport. At next roundabout take 4th exit to Saffron Avenue. Bear left on the mini-roundabout and ask for Travelodge at the security gates. Take 1st right and Travelodge is ahead of you.

The docklands light railway is very close to this hotel, your 1 minute walk away from the East India DLR station, this is no ticket person here just machines to use, was difficult to use but we soon figured this out. Trains are every 10 minutes and only take 10 minutes into the centre of London.
