I use the bus quite regualrly for someone with a car. I often use the bus when traveling to see family and friends as it costs a lot in the car to do a short drive through the busy town centre of Coventry.I use the travel west midlands buses most days.
The cleanliness of the Coventry Travel busses are always appaling.There is never no evidence of a cleaner nor are the buses are tidy. The short journey buses are always dirty and messy with litter every where and often smell.The upstairs of the double decker buses are the worst by far as mainly the elderley sit down stairs.The seats are always dirty and the floors full of spit and gum.
The drivers of the Coventry buses are nearly always grumpy and moody and never very talkative nor do they say 'thankyou' when you buy a ticket or ''thankyou'' as you are leaving which I find very unwelcoming.The Drivers are often complaining that there salary isnt enough.To be honest I dont think they deserve much more than minimum wage as they are so unpleasant.
The fare costs of the travel west midlands buses are very cheap for children and adults with a range of passes and weekly passes and also a very cheap way of travelling all day with no limits is their ''Day Saver''. The Travel West Midlands Daysaver can be bought on the bus for a couple of quid exact bus costs are as followed:
Short Hop (adult) £0.60p Daysaver which can be used on Any buses anytime in Cov. Maximum fare (adult) £0.80p £2.00
Short Hop (child) £0.30p Daysaver which can be used in Coventry anytime £1.40p Maximum Fare (child) £0.40p As the bus fares are so cheap most people do not complain about the state of the busses and for most people in Coventry they dont travel far.
The Coventry West Midlands buses run evely 15+ minutes of the top of my head the most regular buses are ,19,21,20,40,13,36,12,33,10,11,34,7,23,06,05,26,4,1,2.
%65 OF THE Coventry buses are double deckers and the rest single.The single deckers are genrally cleaner as they are newer buses than most doubles.
Coventry have a few new buses around which are posh and quiet and have bright blue interiors! which unfortunetly are on the same number all the time such as the 12 to Leamington and the 36 to Little Heath and Kereseley Village.
Most of Coventrys buses are very old and noisy and not very pleasent as they usally are X reg to D reg (1982-1987.
Unlike some of Englands major cities e.g Newcastle Coventry do not have an all night bus service which lowers there mark.
Most of the buses come round about on time maybe 5 minutes late which isnt bad if you have a look at some of the traffic.
I would have to recommend this bus service to people who live in Coventry because there is no other Bus service.

WA-HEY Are you sure that youve been on a bus recently in Coventry? There is a driver shortage at the moment and the buses are consistantly late. We are on the 32, 33, 34 bus route and instead of every 6 minutes, you are lucky to get one in 35 minutes at the moment.
I met my husband when he used to drive the mini buses that ran in Ernesford Grange. It was love at first sight. We have been together now for nearly 13 years, and married for 8. They used to be pleasant and courteous in those days.

And the Govt and the Greens expect us to use public transport and leave the car at home! NO CHANCE GOING BY THIS EXAMPLE. With better spelling and clearer details of the fares I'd give a VH. Have any of the senior Ciao members advised you to draft your ops on Word or similar and run it through a spell check? Then copy and paste it into the draft box. This leads to far better ops and ratings. All the best, B27.
