I recently went to Florida with Travelcare, my holiday was booked ten months in advance for a party of eight,and everything was booked in my name on my credit cards therefore I could see no problems. However when we arrived at the hotel a very nasty receptionist looked at my paperwork and stated and I quote "We don't deal with that company anymore so you aint staying here" When we eventually got a rep on the phone she refused to come out and told us to book into somewhere else. We had been travelling all day and had two children in the party who were by now in tears. We managed to get another receptionist (a more cordial one) to let us have a room for the night and we promised to be back at the desk by nine the next morning,we had been trying to sort the problem for more than two hours by now and therefore we were grateful for anything. When we turned up the next day lo and behold they had found our booking, apparently booked in someone elses name, this was of course rubbish, and an excuse to cover their appalling behaviour.We never received an apology and we never saw a rep and the first two days of our holiday were ruined. I really think that they should take the word care off,because no one seemed to care about us.
