We booked the Travelodge for a trip to Manchester, with a £19 per room booking. Myself and my sister arrived there in totally foul rainy weather and had never driven through Ashton under Lyne before and because of this we got a bit lost as it is on the edge of a retail park in a one way system so listen carefully to your sat nav! Anyway, there was a fairly big carpark, and we got a parking space really easily. We were given a room with a view on to the strip of grass behind us. There was a double bed, and a single pull out sofa bed, both of which were very clean and comfortable. There was also good tea & coffee making facilities of which we nearly drank them dry!
The hotel shared it's carpark with a pub which did good grub, so we went there for our tea. The lady on reception at the hotel kindly phoned us a taxi to take us to our night out. The hotel was quiet given that it was on a main road, and when we arrived back there at midnight-ish, there was the same lady on reception who recognised us and said hello. It was right over the road from the bus stop for the Manchester bus.
Overall a very good, cheap and cheerful experiance, nothing bad to say about it.
