Pay your £60 for a family room at the Travelodge Belfast, and have a night to remember. Gaze out your window at the paved-court below and watch drunks fight from around 5pm till early the next morning.
This was a terrible experience. The hotel itself was fine, but the surrounding area was dangerous to take a family out after dark. The front door of the Travelodge is operated on a buzzer system, so you have to wait for it to be opened by the staff, leaving you watching your back for up to two minutes as drunks and glue sniffers gather literally yards from you.
This isn't the middle of the night either, this was at 8pm on a Sunday night.
Apart from that, the room was clean and nicely furnished, a double bed and ensuite with coffee and tea making facilities, but I'd opt for Jury's Inn on the main road near The Europa if you truly want a safer family stay.

Appreciate what you are saying about the area, but would like to have known more about the hotel. If you update, let me know and I will happily rerate.
