Advantages: Great location Disadvantages: Shabby, smelly, tired
I have to whole heartly agree with the previous reviewer, this place was awful. I'm usually a fan of travelodge given their cheap rooms and (usually) across the board standard rooms, however this place was pretty terrible. This has to be top of thier list for renovation.
An ugly high rise building that doesn't get better on the inside! DO not pay full price for rooms in this travelodge. Luckily we paid only £10, due to reserving in advance - therefore I wasn't too livid, although disappointed at the standard. As it was we were only using it as a crash pad after going to a gig.
The overall appearance of the place was shabby (except for the reception) and there was a damp musty smell throughout. The bathroom was ok but the room layout was awful - there was a huge pillar in the middle of the room!
I wouldn't recommend this at all ...
Advantages: Spotlessly clean. Friendly helpful staff. Disadvantages: In the middle of an industrial park.

We could hear no noise from outside until we opened the large round window, as the room is quite warm, and the slight drone of traffic from the M6 could be heard, but no planes until after 7am (perhaps they do not fly at night). Breakfast consisted of Orange juice, fruit, yogurts, toast a range of cereals and freshly cooked fried breakfast (eat as much as you like). If you are looking for budget accommodation in Birmingham, I highly recommend this Travelodge. ...

Limehouse Lizzy were playing in Wolverhampton, so, as my boyfriend?s house was an expensive taxi ride away and it was valentines we decided to make a weekend of it. (Yes, in Wolverhampton: P)

The rooms are all standard images on the website but can be much different as we found out when we stayed in the Oldham Travelodge a few months later. This one had been taken over from a once fancy hotel and was quite run down. It was clean but not exactly modern.
The booking process is simple the site takes you through room requirements and an extras page. Some of these can extras can be expensive. You have to register with the site when you book, but it doesn?t take too much time.
Despite ...
