If you do not know what a cheapskate I am, you have not read my other reviews... shame on you, go and put your errors right immediately.!
If you recognised the name more associated with miserliness than Scrooge himself, you will expect ... ...good. But this was a Travelodge £29 saver for a double in London. The only cheaper stay would be with family or friends - and family was away and friends are scarce - that's another story.!
I paid extra for a buffet breakfast in the morning, and there is a charge for parking in the underground car park - but I was walking.... another story.

Advantages: Cheap hotel, underground parking, there is a restuarant/eating area Disadvantages: Very basic, noisey
This is a proper budget hotel. Like all Travelodges, the rooms are very basic. No hairdryer or shampoo's/conditioners etc in the bathroom. There are some coffee/tea making facilities though.

Advantages: handy for the kew gardens Disadvantages: none
We arrived at 11am after we parked in the secure basement car park we got checked in immediately and given a room on the fourth floor. The girl on reception was lovely, vey nice and polite and had good customer service.
The object of our trip was to visit to the Kew Gardens. The walk to Kew was about 20 minutes not to bad.
It was very noticeable that few shops in the vicinity were open, for drinks/food. but there was little going on at all just ... ...noisy the doors are when they shut as people are coming in Having only paid £26 for the room i shouldnt grumble really as the price was good and the room was very good and comfortable. they even had child locks on the windows i couldnt believe it. ...
