Advantages: Clean, friendly, child friendly, pets allowed, lovely environment Disadvantages: Can get very busy with slow service and not all staff are very friendly
Earlier this year we decided that it was time for a much needed break and what better place to spend it than in Shakespeare Countryside, Stratford Upon Avon? Having lived in Coventry which is in the West Midlands I am familiar with Stratford Upon Avon and how beautiful it is. The scenery there is lush and it is definitely Shakespeare Countryside. As well as being a local tourist attraction Stratford Upon Avon is also a quite part of the Country. After purchasing overnight accommodation from Lastminute.com I was set for my journey. There were many short breaks to choose from, but I fancied Stratford Manor the most. Now all I needed to do was ask my parents if they would baby sit. Limehouse Lizzy were playing in Wolverhampton, so, as my boyfriend?s house was an expensive taxi ride away and it was valentines we decided to make a weekend of it. (Yes, in Wolverhampton: P)
We booked online (http://www.travelodge.co.uk/searchandbook) and chose the saver rate, it is cheaper but non refundable should you have to cancel.

The booking process is simple the site takes you through room requirements and an extras page. Some of these can extras can be expensive. You have to register with the site when you book, but it doesn?t take too much time.

The car park, although large, was fairly packed, and we managed to grab two of the last few spaces available, but these were a long way from the door, so it was a bit of a trek with overnight bags. Something we could have easily done without after sitting in a car for just over 9 hours.
Once in the Travelodge, there was a bar and eating area to the right, but this was fairly empty with just couple of people say at the bar. A lone receptionist was very pleasant, but took an absolute age to find our booking on the system. She had to go ...
