After Traveling around Australia for Months I have stayed in many hotels across the East Coast as you will discover in my Reviews. As more and more of us are traveling to Australia, I think its useful to see what are hotels we are assured of, are actually what we are getting after thousands of miles of traveling to our dream destination.
We booked The TravelodgeSydney because me and my partner thought its a reputable name, Travelodge all over the world.

This hotel is perfectly located a stones throw away from the action; a mere block away from Oxford St where you will find funky cafes, restaurants, Sydney's best choice of late bars for the clubbers among you and great shopping.
Other nearby attractions
Pitt Street Mall which is renowned for its shopping is less than a kilometre away as is Darling Harbour, the rocks, the opera house and the harbour bridge. Sydney City Centre isn't really that big so you can get to any of these plus other major attractions by foot although the hotel reception was always happy to book us taxis when we went out at night (and all the cab drivers knew where the hotel was when we were trying to find our way back there after a night out on the champas ...
Limehouse Lizzy were playing in Wolverhampton, so, as my boyfriend?s house was an expensive taxi ride away and it was valentines we decided to make a weekend of it. (Yes, in Wolverhampton: P)
We booked online (http://www.travelodge.co.uk/searchandbook) and chose the saver rate, it is cheaper but non refundable should you have to cancel.
The rooms are all standard images on the website but can be much different as we found out when we stayed in the Oldham Travelodge a few months later. This one had been taken over from a once fancy hotel and was quite run down. It was clean but not exactly modern.
The booking process is simple the site takes you through room requirements and an extras page. Some of these can extras can be expensive. You have to register with the site when you book, but it doesn?t take too much time.
