As for Wolverhampton, there’s not much to do besides the museum, gallery and shops. It did get quite mad on Friday night too, with drunk people fighting (I saw more trouble there than in Blackpool! :P) so we retreated to the Gifford Arms, a rock pub in the shape of castle. Limehouse Lizzy were playing in Wolverhampton, so, as my boyfriend’s house was an expensive taxi ride away and it was valentines we decided to make a weekend of it. (Yes, in Wolverhampton: P)
We booked online (http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book) and chose the saver rate, it is cheaper but non refundable should you have to cancel.

Despite looking like an ugly 1960’s car park, the building is very nicely done inside. The reception looks very posh and the staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in must have taken five minuets tops! Our room looked recently renovated too, we had a king-size bed, tea and coffee making facilities, freeview and a large wardrobe. The view was the back of an office building but hey, it was Wolverhampton not the lakes. It had a large, clean bathroom too with a walk in shower.
You are given two swipe cards for access to your room, the hotel and electric. These are handy but unreliable as they stopped working a couple of times at both Wolverhampton and the Oldham Travelodge. Luckily there is someone on reception 24 hours, so you’re not stuck if this happens at two in the morning!
Housekeeping was good, we got fresh towels every day and although we did not try the breakfast (it seemed too expensive at £7.99 each) there was a lovely smell in the morning and a fair few people tucking in. The Wifi is expensive too at £5 per hour. Travelodge also allow pets at an extra charge.

This Travelodge is definatly not a scenic holiday destination, but if you are here for business, a concert, hen night or anything like that, Travelodge is a cheap, clean and overall great place to stay.

If booked in advance rooms can cost £15.00 or £26.00 depending on the date and location. Booking was simple on line and I ordered breakfast which was discounted by 10%. Normally breakfast costs £7.50 each and two children eat free for each adult. The travelodge is easy to find by following the Fort Dunlop signs. On the way in ... ...most of the big stores. There is a large well lit free car park behind the travelodge. The building is in the middle of an industrial estate which is a bit off putting. The staff were friendly and helpful. The family room is ensuite with a very comfortable and clean double bed and a sofa bed that splits into two singles. It has a TV with freeview, kettle with tea, and coffee. Advantages: next to the m6 motorway and shopping centre Disadvantages: next to lots of factorys and airport. ( but nothing major.)
Was going down last year for the nec bike show and this year the wife wanted to come and see, So this time i decided to stay over for the night. After looking over the internet we found this hotel and was'nt that far from the nec and looked ok.
we booked for the room and a evening meal and breakfast and all came to £64 pounds, which i did'nt think was really that bad. We arrived at the hotel at 1pm on the friday and found it no problem at all, we ... ...of the hotel, you need to travel past the fort dunlop to the roundabout and then take the first exit into car park and then park in vistor's section and you get a parking pass from reception.
We could'nt get into room till 3pm which was'nt a problem and really should have know as it was on the confirmation letter they sent us, Was'nt a problem as back out the hotel and a little down the road is a big shopping centre.

Advantages: cheap Disadvantages: the food and heat in the summer
we have stayed here several time when we have gone to the NEC
it is on an industial estate, the parking is some way from the hotel but it seems safe to me
we have always booked a family room and paid on average £30 per night but there are usually some great deals to be had paying £9 for a room sometimes
now, this place, like all the other travellodges is not swish, it's basic but it's clean and safe, the rooms are large enough there is always ... ...airport and the nec but it can be a bugger to find so just make sure you know how to get there.
Some of the check in staff look a bit rough around the edges but all are charming, the rooms are clean and warm in winter, the summer however is a problem, the windows open all on 5 inches so they can get very hot - this is something to concider when booking - we would not stay here in the summer the only disadvantage to the place is the food - it's terrible ...

When we were having some work done to our home, we found ourselves in absolute chaos. It was so bad it wasn't even liveable, so we decided to up sticks and pack a couple of bags and escape for a couple of nights. The Travelodge in Droitwich is conveniently situated just off Junction 5 of the M5 in Worcestershire. When exiting the motorway simply head down the A38 (Rashwood Hill) to Droitwich town centre and it is located around 1/2mile down this road on the right hand side. We arrived at the Travelodge late in the evening, so it wasn?t the bustling place you?d normally associate with a Travelodge.
First impressions were that this lodge was quite a bit larger than any others I?d stayed in, but since it was the closest to the Channel Tunnel that wasn?t really surprising. The car park, although large, was fairly packed, and we managed to grab two of the last few spaces available, but these were a long way from the door, so it was a bit of a trek with overnight bags. Something we could have easily done without after sitting in a car for just over 9 hours.
Once in the Travelodge, there was a bar and eating area to the right, but this was fairly empty with just couple of people say at the bar. A lone receptionist was very pleasant, but took an absolute age to find our booking on the system. She had to go ...

Finding the Hotel
This is where the stress began, according to the invoice printed off from Travelodge, simply typing the postcode into a satnav, or onto an online route planner will be sufficient. Unfortunately this directs you to a shopping centre car park. As we arrived approximately 11pm on a Saturday, this car park was obviously empty, and there was no one around to ask directions. So we drove a little further on and spotted a Dominoes Pizza takeaway that was still open. They allowed me to look at the map and pointed out the way around the town?s one way system.
