I went on holiday to Australia with Travelsphere last OCt and it was the best holiday ever!!!
The cost was £2995 altogether although this did include £500 for a single supplement. This sounds like a lot of money but for what you get its actually really well priced. The hotels were all superb and had the usual emenities along with a few extras in some cases. They were all well located so that when you had free time you could easily pop into the shops or do some sightseeing. However with the extensive optional trips on offer there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the whold day. Extra trips have varied prices from as little as $20(AUS) to $200(AUS) for the more special and different ones.
You dont have to do any of the tours and there is no pressure to do so but there are many to choose from and so there will always be one or two that you are interested in. This allows you to have
as much freedom as you want and lets you do what you want to do. The guides will also be there to help you out with little things too such as the best places to eat or where to buy extra suncream or swap travellers cheques.
The trip started in Perth and went through Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, Cairns, Canberra, Sydney, and Albury finally finishing in Melbourne. The nights spend in each place varied but you left each one feeling that you had seen everything there was to see.
I will admit after the initial resting time in Perth at the start the tour picked up pace and was pretty busy, but this is the best thing in the end becaue it allows you to fit in as much as you can on this 22 day tour. As Australia is a huge place understanably you do not get to see everything that is on offer but this tour allows you to see the best of each place and gives you a good idea of what Australia is about.
There are a lot of really early mornings which believe me i was woried about as i am not the best person for getting up before 9! But suprisingly once you get into it you hardly ntice as you have too much fun. This tour lets you see the most famous landmarks there such as Ayers Rock, the Sydney Opera House, and the opportunity to have some typical Australian experiences like Barbeques and boomerang throwing.
Holidays with this company start from as little as £599 and they seem to cover the majority of long haul and more local places. A guide is with you the whole time and they are extremely knowledable of the area. Some countries prefer to have their own local guides show you arouns and in Australia the coach drivers actually do most of the information things but no matter who does what you dont feel as though you are an your own and there is always someone there to help point you in the right direction or help you with any problems you may have.
Most people go with someone but lots of people still go on these trips alone, i did and was slightly aprehensive before leaving as i wasnt sure what to expect, but everyone is really friendly and because you spend so much time with the other customers you make some great friends. Travelsphere actually do holidays specifically for people travelling alone but dont feel that you need to go on one of these because either way you will have a great time. Most tours leave from various palces in the uk so you wont have to travel across the country to get to your flight.
The average ages of the travellers are between 25 and 65 but even if you are outside that bracket which i am myself you will meet so many people and get on really well that you wont even notice. Any age is well catered for and there are things suitable for everyone. Although children under 12 are not allowed on the tours at current.
As well as the actual tour, on long haul trips you get the chance to book a stopover allowing you to break up the long flight home - which is especially needed when coming from Australia! I stayed in Bangkok for four nights for an extra £99!!!! This is an amazing price as the hotel was located in near everything and was 5*. Another guide was with us the whole time we were there and we even got our own private minibus for the eight of us that stopped there!!
For details see the website and at will explain the tours available and how to order brochures: www.travelsphere.co.uk
I recommend the Australia trip and also the West Coast in America. Whichever one you choose youll have a great time and all you have to do is sit back and enjoy being looked after.
