When I look for a hotel in New York City, I want a clean and welcoming place. Not too bothered about swimming pools, and other things associated with 5 star hotels. I want a place that is safe, in a good area, and not too expensive. After all I want to explore New York not the hotel! The hotel is just a place to store my stuff, sleep and shower. .... This is part of the club credo to have a social conscience as well as to provide entertainment. This Tribeca club located on Hudson Avenue near the Holland Tunnel is a popular late night hang among people who enjoy music outside the mainstream. Wetlands can get overcrowded and the stage is set on a side in a manner that limits visibility for many patrons. That drawback aside, it is still a fun, laid back place to enjoy live music.... Advantages: Great city with loads to see

...Me and my boyfriend went to New York in August 2004 and had a fantastic time. Luckily it wasn’t too hot this year, so it was great for walking around and exploring the city. I recommend taking the Airtrain from JFK Airport ($5 per person). We then took the Long Island Railroad from Jamaica Station to Queens Station and we were in Midtown Manhattan in about 30 minutes. You can also connect to the Subway which will make the journey cheaper, but will probably take longer. We stayed at the Comfort Inn Midtown, which was good budget accommodation. Good location and clean, but don’t expect spacious rooms and luxury. It suited us fine! We organised our sightseeing to walk around in one area for the day to avoid wasting too much time travelling: e.g. Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan one day, Chinatown & and surrounding areas...
