I stayed here for 3 days in August 2006. We got a good deal on prices as it was the monsoon, though from the weather you couldn't tell. It is definitely worth considering coming in the low season.
The hotel is reasonably modern and very clean. The rooms are what you expect from a Hilton, with lots of little nice touches - free 2l bottle of water each day - great for sightseeing! There is also some lovely toiletries and slippers provided. About half of the rooms look out over the central garden which contains the very nice swimming pool.
The food is lovely. The breakfast is done buffet style but there is so much choice and is constantly being replenished so things are always hot. There is both Indian breakfasts as well as more Western alternatives available. An evening meal wasn't included in our price, so you can either eat out or stay in - dinner is waiter service and very reasonably priced as well as being delicious (I recommend the mango ice-cream).
The staff are always attentive and polite without seeming too formal.
Overall, I recommend this hotel thoroughly to anyone travelling to Agra.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Mango icecream sounds nice! Sorry for the low rating but if you wanted higher ratings then you elaborate on the points you've already made. For example, what were the rooms like? My advice would be to read around other travel reviews and you'll see what you need to add for higher ratings. If you edit this in any way let me know via my guestbook and I'll happily re-read it for you. Welcome to Ciao, I hope you enjoy it here.
