Advantages: Great Setting, Close to Airport, First Class Food, Very Clean, Wonderful! Disadvantages: None that I can think of!
thirty minutes and you could have seen us leaving, decidedly poorer but with the joy of a holiday to look forward to, departing in just 5 days! Honestly, what one glass of wine in Pizza Hut does to me I?ll never quite know!
The following Tuesday saw us at Manchester Airport bright and early, 6am being just a little too bright and early for some of us, and eagerly awaiting our flight to the Greek island of Kos. Kos lies in the south east of the Aegean Sea and is the third largest of the Greek islands (after both Rhodes and Corfu) and boasts a population of 30,000 that is regularly almost doubled each summer with holiday makers. Our hotel was located about a mile outside of the town of Kardamena which lies on the south side of the island and approx. 15 minutes from the only airport on the island. The resort consists of many bars with about 3 ...
Advantages: great for couples, friendly and very clean Disadvantages: a little way out of kos town
the nefeli hotel is a small family run hotel with 41 rooms. roughly two miles outside kos town in the lambi area. there is buses which run all the time or like we did bike everywhere as it is very flat. we stayed bed and breakfast, breakfast was continental but very nice, the hotel does serve evening food but we ate out quite a bit. the hotel is very clean and the staff work hard all the time there is a little shop on site which even if closed they would open it for you. the rooms where basic twin beds, tv, sideboards, bathroom and balcony with table and chairs. the hotel pool a lovely size and cleaned every day and there were plenty of sunbeds. they have weekly bbq's and greek nights which were great and at night nikkos the owner would serve everyone shots of tequila. overall a lovely hotel very friendly staff great stay plus no ...
Advantages: Excellent location, Very welcoming! Disadvantages: Bathrooms a little cramped but this is common place in Greek hotels
We visited Kefalos for the first time in June, and have just booked to return. We stayed at the Zeus and will be doing so again in October.
ROOMS
The rooms are spotlessly clean with a large balcony or terrace (we had a terrace). On the website it does mention that some rooms are "semi-basement" we had one of these and it just meant that the wall of our terrace was only slightly higher than ground level. But it was a lovely sun trap in the afternoon. Bathrooms aren't huge, which is to be expected, but they are perfectly adequate. Beds very perfectly fine, not the luxury you would expect from a more pricey hotel but perfectly adequate. You can always ask for an exrtra pillow if one is not enough.
STAFF
All of the hotel staff were excellent Zak and his family will do evrything they can to ensure you have a great holiday ...
