Advantages: good place to hang out with your friends Disadvantages: expensive and boring after a while
I've been going to the Trocadero since I was first allowed to go into London with my friends whcih was when I was about 13. I'm now 18 and am completely bored of the place now. Don't get me wrong I love computer games and penny machines and stuff but all I end up doing now is going in, walking round the levels and goin out again.. so boring.
The place still seems popular with the kids. A go on a machine is roughly about 2 or 3 quid which is a complete ... ...The best part of the Trocadero are the shops downstairs. Theres a great shop which sells gadgets, jokes including lots of adult ones, wigs, some pop music stuff like postcards and badges and my favourite.. the cheap official Star Wars light sabers. They're £9.99 which is a bargain compared to most toy stores. Theres also a Claires Accesories, a sweet shop, cookie stall and a HMV, all the shop stay open till around midnight for those very late night ...

Advantages: escape the crowds and view new video technology Disadvantages: be prepared to spend a fortune if playing games
The Trocadero is a multi-story shopping, entertainment and fast-food complex, well positioned just off Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. Entrances are located on street level, next to Planet Hollywood. Alternatively, avoid the crowds and take the entrance to the complex leads directly from Picadilly underground station. The tourist-orientated gift shops tend to be situated on the ground level and offer the usual range of tat and souvenirs that ... ...the complex is also home to the Elvisly Yours shop which, surprisingly enough, sells nothing but Elvis memorabilia for extortionate prices. I've not eaten in the centre before, probably because the range of eating places didn't seem overly inspiring. Levels above the shops house an 8 screen cinema and the massive "Sega World" which is spread over several levels. Sega World must be one of the biggest amusement arcades in the country and is mainly ...

...it good for'.
The Trocadero is designed to appeal mainly to teenage boys and younger adults with a great deal of money to spend. The majority of the attractions there are hugely impressive computer simulations- all blasting out noise at once. Most cost at least a couple of quid a time so it can be a very expensive way to spend your time if you are in a small group. The larger the group you are in the cheaper it tends to get because each member of ... ...you. So, in short, the trocadero is good for wealthy teenagers and tightwad middle aged men such as myself. If you are not sure which group you fit into then simply walk in (entry is free). You will know instantly if it is for you or not so there is no harm in looking. If you do stay then please set yourself a budget and do not go over it. ...

Advantages: Great fun. Loads of games, plus a bar, and dodgems Disadvantages: Many old games, you may not find the latest games here first.
Sega World, at London Trocadero shopping centre, Shaftsbury Avenue is one of the biggest amusement arcades in the country. This place takes up three or four floors and has hundreds of games of all kinds. Each level or "deck" is organised by category of game - e.g. there's a flight deck, a racing deck, etc... On one of the decks you'll also find dodgem cars and a bar. They have many linked racing games, so you'll be able to compete against your mates. ... ...money to get in. When I went there recently many of the games were old, it was not the same as it was a few years ago when the video game press would be down there on Friday nights checking out the latest releases. They're not as quick to purchase new games now. Oh well, it's still a great way to spend a couple of hours and lots of coins! ...
