I've been going to the Trocadero since I was first allowed to go into London with my friends whcih was when I was about 13. I'm now 18 and am completely bored of the place now. Don't get me wrong I love computer games and penny machines and stuff but all I end up doing now is going in, walking round the levels and goin out again.. so boring.
The place still seems popular with the kids. A go on a machine is roughly about 2 or 3 quid which is a complete rip-off really, lots more broke parents. The games are mostly old shoot-em up games like House of the Living Dead and they have got some new machines like Dance Dance Revolution and a newer version where you use your arms too- everyone can make right prats of themselves. The Pepsi Drop ride seems to have died and they've now got some waltser type ride called Breakdancer which is another rip-off, about £4 for that one if I remember rightly.
Theres a bowling alley at the top with a bar and a Wimpy for those who are feeling peckish and they're usual prices.
The best part of the Trocadero are the shops downstairs. Theres a great shop which sells gadgets, jokes including lots of adult ones, wigs, some pop music stuff like postcards and badges and my favourite.. the cheap official Star Wars light sabers. They're £9.99 which is a bargain compared to most toy stores. Theres also a Claires Accesories, a sweet shop, cookie stall and a HMV, all the shop stay open till around midnight for those very late night shoppers amongst us. I know theres also plans to open up some new shops on the 2nd level.
Altogether, it's a good place to head if you're in London with nothing to do but its mainly for kids.. rich kids.

I remember it being *so* exciting when I was about 13/14, but you do grow out of it pretty fast - and have to start spending your own money too! I work fairly nearby now, and never even think of wandering in.
