Believe me, I look nothing like this photograph! Right now I have a puzzled and pleased expression on my face as I have just found out that I have earned £8.03 from Ciao without doing anything much like work. I had better get reviewing!

The question with most London tourist attractions is not 'is it good' because any form of entertainment in the capital must be pretty appealing to some people or it would not survive.
The really useful question must be 'who is it good for'.
The Trocadero is designed to appeal mainly to teenage boys and younger adults with a great deal of money to spend. The majority of the attractions there are hugely impressive computer simulations- all blasting out noise at once. Most cost at least a couple of quid a time so it can be a very expensive way to spend your time if you are in a small group. The larger the group you are in the cheaper it tends to get because each member of the group will tend to have a go at blasting the same bad guys so you will spend more time watching and less blasting. Nevertheless it is still quite easy to come out thirty pounds poorer than you went in.
The second way of using the 'troc' is simply to do a walk around each of the floors once and then leave. What is the point of this you may wonder? Well, it has a real buzz to it and it is also situated right next to Leicester Square and the west end. If you want to get in the mood for enjoying yourself and are feeling a bit flat then this will do it for you. So, in short, the trocadero is good for wealthy teenagers and tightwad middle aged men such as myself. If you are not sure which group you fit into then simply walk in (entry is free). You will know instantly if it is for you or not so there is no harm in looking. If you do stay then please set yourself a budget and do not go over it.

falling somewhere between the two (wealthy teenager / tightwat middle aged man - I'm a tightwad, but not too bad off twenty-something!!) I guess I will have to check it out for myself...cannot believe I've never been there actually...I'm just a short hop from London by rail... cheers, DD
