I have been in this hotel on two separate occasions, and although it has some flaws that other people may not find acceptable, I would most defiantly recommend this hotel.
This hotel is in a very central place, quite possible one of the best locations if you want to see the city. It is situated in the old town, close to the Castillio Santa Barbara (the main castle), The port, Cathedral. Church of Santa Maria, town hall and museums. Its also about a 2 minute walk away from the beach, Playa de Postiguet. Generally, the location is very good, but there are a couple of draw backs. Firstly, the distance from the train station if you're planning on visiting the local area. It will take about 20 minutes to walk there, however, you can easily catch a bus. Secondly, the noise. sprawled out, with many new buildings, such as hotels, shopping malls, tower blocks etc. I get the impression that it has only been in recent years that the local council have decided to sell the city to tourists, as there appears to be lots of works going on to improve the area. The only thing I would say however is that no matter how much work is carried out, Lugo will be constantly overshadowed by the more famous city of Santiago de Compostela, but Lugo is definitely worth a visit.

My experience really started with the decision to use a no-frills airline to do a cheapie European holiday last summer.
The problem was that the cheap flights from Belfast were alll booked up and we could have got a package holiday for the flight costs to Prague, Barcelona and the like.
Suddenly, I came on Stelios's new Easyjet route to Asturias from Stansted. I had to get the maps out to find out where it was, and check online to see what the area could offer - it all looked good.
We were soon booked for this beautiful part of Northern Spain - reviewed by me elsewhere ...
