My husband recently needed to go to Frankfurt for the weekend on a last minute business trip. I was invited along for the trip -since it was only for the weekend, we did not have time to go out and about eating or drinking, so we had our hopes pinned on the Tryphotel.
The Tryphotel is a four star hotel situated 10-15 minutes from the airport, it is in the busy region of Frankfurt -everywhere you look there are hotels.

We booked with last-minute.com and got our room for 65 Euros per night.
I think that this was good, considering the competition and the fact that we were in the very heart of "hotel land" in Frankfurt - however I do feel that the Euro has made things a lot more expensive.

I was luck enough to go to Cuba a short while ago (november 4th 2004) for 17 days at the fabulous tryp cayo coco, what a tryp it was!
This is the most amazing hotel and for those who say it isnt..you must be really hard to please...i read many reviews before i went so had very mixed feelings but when i arrived i was just blown away..a true all inclusive hotel with stunning beaches, great people, very friendly staff, excellant well equipped rooms, stunning views, great food ( especially the pasta! ) and i didnt get bit by one mossi!
we paid £799 each for 17 days so its real value for money too and i would go back in a flash, im going this year in fact!! same hotel same room everything!!
the room itselft was bright and airy with large patio windows and a little private balcony, which wasnt overlooked! we had a hot power shower usable ...

If you've been following my reviews concerning our trip to Andalucia, you'll know that our next port-of-call was Granada. Come to think of it, even if you haven't been reading them you'll know that now anyway...I just told you.
Our main reason for visiting Granada was to see the Alhambra which, although it seems to be near the centre of the city, is much more accessible from the ring roads. We therefore decided on a hotel which was close to the main access routes, yet in a peaceful location.
So with that in mind, I booked the TRYP ALCANO (part of the Sol Melia group), just 5km from the bustling heart of this ancient city, but conveniently located on a highway close to the ring road.
Just to get our bearings straight, the hotel is 5-6 km from the Alhambra, 40 km from the Sierra Nevada ski slopes and 60 km from the beaches ...
