When I needed to find some cheap Hotel accommodation in Nottingham City Centre a couple of Weeks ago, the Internet was the logical place to start my search. I tried the usual chains including Travelodge, but since my stay was less than one week away I quickly found that I was struggling.
Eventually I stumbled upon the Welbeck Hotel. Location wise it seemed perfect, right in the centre of the City, and price wise it was well within my budget too, and so I confirmed my Online booking.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Well to be honest the first thing that impressed me was the location. It was less than five minutes walk from the Lace Market, and well within walking distance of all of the other Shops and Attractions.

I stayed on Saturday 25 October 2008 because of its (reasonably) close proximity to Earls Court where I was attending an exhibition.
There was another similar rated hotel behind the underground station but it was reported to be very noisy and I thought a 10 minute walk from hotel to destination would be refreshing, which it was.
This hotel is on a busy main road on the corner of a junction, but inside the big old building you were not really aware of this. I think the hotel just had about 14 rooms in total, so not a busy place.

My only visit to Tudor Park consisted of going to a friend's party and then staying the night. But even in this short 24hr period, I found the Hotel a pleasant and peaceful environment in which to stay. the hotel has a swimming pool for all visitors, as well as local golf courses, sporting activities and a wide range menu at each of the bars and restaurant areas. The Hotel is sorrounded by beautiful countryside and is only a short drive away from the local town of Maidstone.
The 3 star hotel consists of 125 rooms, each with tea making facilities, a television and the most comfortable beds you'll ever lye on. This is a great place for short stays and an even greater place for long stay periods. ...
