Advantages: Beautiful Glorious architecture, good food, Culture Disadvantages: Difficult to find any
The Tuscan city of Siena is one of those stunningly beautiful places that once you have visited you want to return and return again. This historic city, in the heart of Tuscany and surrounded by some delightful countryside, is a mere 1/2 hours train journey from Florence, and simply should not to be missed by any traveller to this very fascinating region of Italy.
It has been described, accurately in my view, as a " ..Perfect medieval Tuscan city that is one of the most surprising places in the world.." Certainly it is an exquisite even extraordinary city of great beauty which manages to cope so well with the influx of tourists.
Siena plays "second-fiddle" to no city and small though it may be, it is a proud place with a great deal of interest for the visitor. Self-obsessed it is but this beautifully-preserved town has few equals ...

Advantages: Stunning Disadvantages: Missed the Palio - steep climb to old town
Siena is probably most famous for the Palio - the psychotic, twice-yearly dash around Il Campo, the heart of this ancient, walled city. I'm sure most people are familiar with the carnival atmosphere generated during this frenetic, hell-for-leather race around the cobbles, but unfortunately the timing of our visit didn't coincide with the medieval equivalent of Whacky Races on sulph. Never mind.
The old town of Siena is built on and around three hills, and is completely free from traffic. Visitors have to park in one of several car parks outside the walls and proceed on foot. It's not a long walk, but it IS a steep walk. There are shuttle buses that run between the car parks and the town gates but, if you're like me and think impatience is a virtue, you can very-near kill yourself slogging up the practically vertical slope in ...

Advantages: Great singer, next album coming out in Britain! Disadvantages: She left Operacion Triunfo in 14th place
This is one of my favourite artists of the moment, so I hope you enjoy this review.
I first saw Cristie in the 2002 Operacion Triunfo in Spain, and ever since, I have been her fan. If you don't know anything about Operacion Triunfo, see my review of it!
OPERACION TRIUNFO:
---Getting In---
In 2002, the 24 year old Cristie Velasquez (related to the artist) entered the Mįlaga stage of Operacion Triunfo. She went in to meet the judges, and she gave a heart felt performance of 'When You Believe' by Mariah and Whitney. Indeed, from that, she got through to the next round of Operacion Triunfo.
3 months later, and she was called up to be one of the 20 finalists. But she wasn't there yet. She had to perform infront a live audience to prove that she should be one of the 17 finalists (only 3 weren't going to make it).

Manufacturer's product description
A staunchly traditional trattoria in the heart of Giraffe territory since 1830, Tullio has a distinctly taverna feel. The two long dining rooms are ribbed with brick arches and hung with painted plaques representing the contrade, and the tables are lined up along creaky wall benches as if waiting to be set for a medieval feast. The antipasto Tre Cristi is a fan of assorted large crostini and prosciutto rolls, and if pici al porcino (homemade fat spaghetti with porcini mushroom sauce) or pappardelle alla lepre (noodles in hare ragł) don't catch your fancy, try penne alla carrettiera (in a spicy hot garlic and pepperoncino tomato sauce). Afterward, go for the medaglione al burro verde (veal medallion cooked in herbed butter) or the cappelle di porcini (grilled caps of porcini mushrooms -- the traditional poor Tuscan's steak).
