Where to eat in Dublin? There was so much choice we didn’t know where to go. As our hotel was a bit of a walk out of the city centre, we wanted somewhere not too far (we didn’t know how far we would be able to stumble back and didn’t want to risk running into any mad cabbies!)

Where to eat in Dublin? There was so much choice we didn’t know where to go. As our hotel was a bit of a walk out of the city centre, we wanted somewhere not too far (we didn’t know how far we would be able to stumble back and didn’t want to risk running into any mad cabbies!)
Walking back to our hotel on Saturday afternoon, we passed a small Indian restaurant with a plaque on the wall saying ‘best in Ireland 2001’. ... ...the menu, which wasn’t too exorbitant. The door was open so we went in to try and book, but there was no one around. A board outside said they were open evenings from 6pm, so we decided to risk our luck anyway and went back at about 7pm.
We walked in and were greeted by a waiter who asked if we had booked. When we said we hadn’t he scuttled off to speak to someone else who said we could have a table providing that we would be finished ...

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last few years. Its quite a way outside the main Temple-Bar area but is right by the tram stops. As the trams run very regularily getting about is easy.
