On my recent work trip to Tunisia, I flew from Heathrow airport and with the airline Tunisair. Now before this trip I had never flown before with this airline and will even admit that I'd not really even heard much, if anything about them. This is mainly due to the fact that I have never been asked for that airline and the compnay I work for at the moment doesn't have a contract to sell them as part of our packages. So with this in mind I was quite ... ...as to what kind of service they would provide.
The airline:
The airline itself is the national airline of Tunisia, really the clue is in the name! The airlines colour is white with a motif of an animal that looks like a goat or deer and this is in red. The aircraft was actually set up in 1948 by an agreement with Air France and in 1949 it began operation. The airlines 2 letter code is TU. The aircraft that I travelled on was a Boeing 737-600 and ...

Admitidely it was a short flight but to be served the " delacies " that i was which incidently resulted in a severe attack of flactulance, this in it's self is not unusual for me but it did have a rather unpleasant aroma which my fellow passengers didn't find at all amusing !! ...

Advantages: Departure from London Heathrow Disadvantages: Plane interior looked a bit dated
When I was recently looking for a package holiday for a short break, I tried to look for alternative to departures from London Gatwick: the airport is too far and departure/arrival times are very often too late or too early to take public transport. The taxi fare adds then a significant cost to the holiday.
I was quite please to find a week in Tunisia with a departure from Heathrow flying with Tunisair. Never flew with them before and the overall ... ...left/arrived at the time making the use of public transport possible,
- the meal was included in the price of the ticket (I had to pay supplement before on charter flights for a meal)
I had been to Tunisia before and flew to Monastir. The waiting area of the airport was so overcrowded with numerous charter flights leaving at the time. The flight from LHR arrived in Tunis: very little waiting time for luggage and the airport was also rather quiet ...
