The complex of Diar le Medina is the biggest in Yassmine Hammammet. It has a hotel, apartments, restaurants, casino, shops & so much more. We stayed for one week in a two bed apartment. It was a massive apartment with a seperate livingroom, kitchen/diner, a fully fitted bathroom and a shower room. It was cleaned everyday and everyday the staff made up your bed and put flowers on it. A very nice personal touch. We went on a couple of the tours, we went on the African dream trip which was a visit to Friguia Park which is a zoo and still at the park in the evening we had a 3 course meal with tribal dancing and drums being played. It was a magical evening and a great finish to a perfect day. We also went on the boat trip, which was aboard a Pirate Galleon. There was pirates on board which kept everyone entertained and a buffet style meal. There was the chance to go into the Mediterranean sea and to get your picture taken with the pirates and a bird (can't remember what type but looked vicious). I would highly recommend a visit to Tunisia as it has a lot to offer everyone. We were lucky that our complex had it all so we never had far to go for souveniers. It is recommended that you haggle at every shop. I got a bracelet for 10 dinar even though he started at 150 dinar. 10 dinar was about £5 at home, bargain or what. My son became ill on holiday and ended up having an operation in Tunisia and the hospital staff were brilliant, so were the staff at the hotel. Truly looked after and made a full recovery with no problems.
