Tunnel is a very popular place with students, especially as it offers very reasonable breakfasts and lunches, before becoming a lively pub by night with frequent live music. For those choosing it as a breakfast bar, there are various options from muesli and fruit, through to the arabian breakfast (olives, sheep's cheese and humous), or spanish chorizo omelettes. The service is quick, and the fruit juice ohsoreasonable (happy hour over breakfast!). A breakfast including a coffee often only comes to around ATS 70 (just over three quid!) although friends have warned me to steer clear of the tuna. This would also be general advice for Vienna, as unless you can be sure that fish is exceedingly fresh, you must take into consideration that it will have travelled a great distance to get to Vienna, so if you are of a delicate stomach, then it may be best avoided.

By night there are some good acts who play at tunnel, and the bar is lively, although it can be strangely dead on some nights. The 5 and 33 trams serve Tunnel, and so it can be recommended for stopping off and meeting up with people, even if you don't necessarily stay there for the entire evening.
