I must confess tha this one will be quite hard to write about. We had an overall good holiday, when we stayed here, at Turbo Club appartments in Masplomas, Gran Canria.
However, I feel I should, get into the open what happened on our vacation. One of our rooms were broken into. And it was not just one of our rooms that got broken into. There were several other people across the resort also being broken into. The fact this could happen is obviuosly becuase of the lack of camera's and security on site.
You see the resort itself is good. For our two rooms, we had a private staircase going up to them, there were two appartments underneath aswell (on ground level). Three of us at went away for a walk to a fairly local shopping centre, while one of us stayed and had a snooze. My sisters, stayed in the room on the right at the top of our stairs whereas my Aunt and I stayed on the left. While myself and my sisters had gone for the walk, and my Auntie slept, my sisters room was broken into. At the top of the stairs there was a small platfrom, off of which were two doors, and there was two windows - one for the bedroom of each appartment. It was in this window that the burglar got in to my sisters' room, by prising the windo open, and climbing through. It took a while for my sister to realize there perfumes, jewellery, and even a mobile phone, had been taken.
We still came back overall happy though. We had a week of great weather, and the place was brilliant. Despite the lack of security, everything else would have made a really perfect holiday. There are two swimming pools at the resort, one of which, has a pretty cool hut at it with a bar inside. The food was good, and I didn't feel that it got too repetitive, as meals at some all inclusive resorts tend to. Entertainment was good. There were two 'entertainer' employed, who arranged sport competitons eg water polo, tennis, and a variety of entertainment at night. It was a weekly schedule, so if you stayed more than a week you would find the same things on show as the first week. There was a shop where you can buy snacks and other everyday things.
The appartments themselves, had a small living area with a mini-kitchen (cupboards, a kettle and a fridge), a bathroom, a bedroom, and a balcony (ours looked over the main pool and the stage which was great). The appartments were really nice. Therer were ants on the balcony, but they dont do you any harm. If anything I enjoyed having them around. It was very amusing to watch them gathering around a crisp you drop, until there are enough of them to carry it away.
Masplomas was a good place for a holiday. Masplomas is right next to Playa del Inglis, infact it is impossible to tell the boundary. The two towns have a lot of shopping centres between them. There is a fantastic water centre nearby, at which I sunburnt my feet!! There is an amazing beach at Masplomas. It is actually sand dunes, and there is the option of going camel riding over them. There is a path along the beach, nice for a walk. And there is shops wehre you can by plenty of ice creams, to keep you going 9if your an ice cream lover like me that is)
There is an amazing ammount to do, you can visit a town nick-named "mini-venice". But despite how great our resort was, you may not want to go to it because of the security problem. On our walks in the area quite nearby 'Turbo Club' other resorts had security card entry systems, whereas to y recollection the side entrance to our resort didnt have a gate, or at least, the gate was never closed during the day, when people actually tend to go out.
I have selcected 'yes' for recommending to potential buyer for the fact it was a great holiday. You would want to check if there was better security now.
