Having recently flown with Turkish Airlines, I thought I'd give a brief review of their service.

Food:
This was generally good, in fact better than I had expected for a flight, and one run by a foriegn airline.

There were two meals on the 10 hr flight, and one on the 4 hr flight.

Each meal had a selection of items including some bread or crackers, some salad vegetables and/or fruit, some savory food and some sweet food. This meant there was always at least something you would fancy to eat. Main meals were for example: pasta with tomato sauce, chicken with veg.

Drinks:
Free drinks, alcoholic, fruit juices- orange, tomato, cherry, coke/diet coke/pepsi, water still or sparkling, tea, coffee.

As many drinks as you wanted for free. The air hostesses brought drinks with meals and frequently in between, and also on request. You could have two at a time if you asked, no problem.

Seats:
Were comfortable enough, and provided with a blanket and pillow on the longer flights. Not huge amounts of leg room. Seats reclined without restricting space behind too much. Each seat had a tray table in front.

Entertainment:
About 15 channels of sound, including one for t.v. Headphone sets that worked, although system was not compatible with your own headphones. Many channels played turkish music, at least I presume that was what it was. Two pop music channels, one for dancy pop music, one for gentle stuff. Also a classical sort of channel. Each channel played the same set of tracks over and over and over.
T.V. showed random documentaries and "Friends" during the daytime, and then showed films at night. These included "The Bourne Identity" which was good, and others that were less good, "Serving Sara", "Mrs Doubtfire", and then some really unlikely ones I can't even remember that weren't worth staying awake for. The films were when you wanted to sleep, and the boring documentaries when you wanted some entertainment.
Not really enought t.v.s but enough that you could see one.
Newspapers were provided free. Mainly Turkish ones, though one available in English. Also a flight magazine that was in English, though not very interesting- articles about Turkish heritage really.

Luggage:
All arrived in correct place on time, although the wrapping on one of my parcels got trashed, though that was probably more due to airport handling.
I took some large, random, but delicate items on as hand luggage on return flight, and there was no issue made with size, weight or quantity of my hand-luggage. It looked like other people had done the same.

Service:
Hostesses were polite, helpful, smiling. All the announcements were made in turkish first, despite the plane being full of English people with only the odd Turkish passenger, but this must be standard for the airline. Safety talks seemed to be interupted by captain, and take off.
Disabled passengers and children were well looked after, wheel-chairs met the arriving plane, these passengers were boarded, and allocated seats first.

Timing:
One of our flights left late, due to allowing extra time for some passengers to connect. However it caught up the time and arrived on time, and we were able to board as expected.

Overall:
No real complaints with this airline, I had a good experience.
