The Etruscan coast 0 of 0 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

There is a place in Tuscany, where, in every season, it's easy to choose. That's the reason why it is different. It is called the Etruscan Coast: here, time is holidays and desire to discover all year round, because, here, the sea and nature, art and history live together in one, harmonious plan.

The Etruscan Coast is all to be temptingly chosen, to meet, then, its different souls, with love.

First and foremost, the sea: crystal-clear, with hues varying from deep blue to emerald green, accompanied by deep, never-ending beaches and cliffs smelling of salt and wind, sheltered by alluring pine woods. A lively corner of the Mediterranean.

The sea is the soul of the Etruscan Coast: it is with you everywhere. It lives in the history, in the landscape, it gives light to sunsets, scents the air, makes itself seen from the villages and the hills, laps the thick pine woods, the vast green and bright areas of Mediterranean vegetation.

Beaches of white, very fine sand or dark gravel alternate with cliffs engraved by the fury of the wind and the waves. Inlets, coves and bays run after each other uninterruptedly. The coast is dotted with ancient towers, which were used to catch sight of and defend the territory from pirates' attacks..

It is the sea where the Etruscans carried out their trades and settled, erecting, at Baratti, the only necropolis along the coast: the sea, sailed over since time immemorial by people from distant countries, of different races and religions, which still hides their treasures in its depths.
