This land, located amidst the sea and the mountains, offers a wide variety of traditions: you may happen to get into a village and let yourself be carried away by its strictly mediaeval atmosphere – from the dishes, to the dresses, the shows, the craftsmen –. Or else, choose to try chestnut-based dishes or food cooked in the local cast-iron "testi" (sort of moulds), just like they used to do one thousand years ago, in the trattorias of the Lunigiana, or taste some fresh fish cooked in the restaurants by the sea and washed down by Candia wine from the Apuan hills.
As to health, you can even treat your body with the renowned mineral waters gushing out of the Apuan Alps or in the spa resorts of S.Carlo or Equi Terme.
