Huddersfield UCI - not the fleapits I remember

Advantages: Large airy and pleasant
Disadvantages: Next to the football ground

...have been to the Huddersfield UCI several times this year - timing my visits for wednesday's cheap tickets and fewer people numbers. There are 9 screens, all showing bang up to date films - The Two Towers and Nemesis this week, both available here to see as they are released. Car parking is free, though restricted to the spaces immediately outside the cinema on match days. Being situated alongside the Huddersfield Town stadium I personally would ...
.../> The entrance is flanked by a bar on each side, both accessible from outside and from inside the foyer.
Monitors just inside the door show which films are about to start and on which screen. I have never been when the foyer has been crowded but can see that it may be frustrating, as far as I can see there is only one queue to pay for all 9 screens, but then again you have the option to book your seats and pay over the telephone before ... more

The UCI: a very basic multiplex.

Advantages: Basic
Disadvantages: Basic

...can get out to the UCI then its worth your while. The UCI is one of the old style of mutliplexes. It was, therefore, the first mutliplex in Edinburgh. The UCI offers you the many screen choice without the fuss and fanfare of some of the new buildings. The prices it charges is a reflection of that. They are lower. (Mind you, you could spend the difference on the petral to get out there.) I think it is worth going to see the cheaper matinea performances ...
...Also, right next to the UCI there is a MegaBowl. Going to see a movie with a bunch of friends which is then followed up with a bit of bowling is a pleasant treat. There is even a McDonalds. Ah, but back to the UCI. It has 12 screens. 12 basic screens in small rooms. The UCI does not provide luxury, the UCI provides you with a seat and a screen on which moving pictures appear. If you want an iWorks then you have to go elsewhere. If you want red velvet ...

Swansea- UCI

Advantages: Great its got student Discount
Disadvantages: none

the uci in swansea, south wales is a very nice place, they offer student discounts, they accept orange 2 4 1 on wednesday, many great movies on show, prices are resonable, under 15's is 3 pound 50. 15's and over 5 pound 50, unless you got student discount where it is only 3.50. the cinema itself a choice of sitting areas, toilet facilties, mobile phone top ups, sweet and ice cream stands, and then the main counter selling popcorn and chocolate etc, ...
...since then i appreciate the uci more, and i always will go there, the uci is in a very good place, its by a bowling facility and arcades and a MASSIVE childrens toy shop, also there is a pizza place right by it and there is plenty of room to park cars. if you are in south wales it is worth visiting and watchin a movie, i really recomend it. ...

uci uncovered

Advantages: comfy with a big screen
Disadvantages: expensive

Since I live in Tynemouth my local cinema is also the Uci in Silverlink even though I would sometimes it wasn't The Silverlink Uci has 8 screens and the last showing of films is about 8:00, to get in the price is about 4:10 for children and 5:50 for adults but this is on normal days, on Wednesdays only ticket prices are halved, however if you are young watch out as my Thirteen year old sister has often been charged the full adult price! Also I'm 19 and once or twice, me, a 19 year old has been asked for age identification! The cinema is nearly always busy on a Saturday night and its often you have to wait fifteen to twenty minuets in a line only to find out your film has sold out, and if you do get a ticket and want some popcorn you often have to wait another ten or twenty minuets just to get popcorn and drinks, which if you buy to ...

UCI A OK.

Advantages: Luxurious
Disadvantages: Positioning

The UCI cinema has many positive attributes such as it being situated in a complex with other facilities such as bowling, bars, cafes, radio station, and a night club. It also always has the latest films and even the arty uncommercial films even if only uaually shown for a week. The price to get in is quite high although the quality of each screen is very high. The seats are very luxurious with drink holder etc, and there is plenty of room for you're legs. The decorations are nice and my fave is the lights on the steps which give the place a magical feel. Students have concessions mon-thurs which reduces ticket cost a lot from £5.65 to £3.50ish and there is a vast amount of different snack food available. The only negative attribute this cinema has is it's location, being outside the city in Cardiff bay where you need to catch a taxi ...

UCI a really nice place to go

Advantages: Parking space, easy access from M4
Disadvantages: prices on food

I live near pontypridd and not untill a few years ago my 'local' cinema was in Nantgarw (showcase cinema). But i finally learnt how to drive and ventured off to cardiff bay where (at the time) the new UCI cinema was. My first impressions where good. The cinema itself is situated at the back of the complex. Im this complex lie a nightclub, bars, resurants & a bowling alley, so there are plenty of things to keep you amused if your too early for a viewing. Ticket Prices. Compeared to 'Showcase Cinemas' which charge about £5.25 (i think) the Uci charges about £5.50. This didn't bother me at all as i was expecting greater things. I always buy a popcorn and drink when going to the cinema its like a religion or something, but when i seen the prices i was in two minds! The Cinema itself. The Uci has 12 cinema screens. Two of them are ...
