My local cinema is tiny, cramped and smells of mothballs and only show new films a couple of weeks after they're released. But then one day the biggest cinema I'd ever seen opened, although orginally a Virgin cinema- it was later to be taken over by UGC.
UGC offers a wide range of films which are shown on one of their 13 screens and offers maximum comfort! Nice comfy, padded seats and sufficient foot room- and there is rarely any problems when a tall person sits in front of you, the screen is perfectly visible. Excellent. But with the pleasure comes the pain, which will be felt in your wallet. An adult ticket will set you back £6 and for the children £3. In view of this, Horsham cinema has its benefits (last time I went it cost £2.50).
My family originally bought cinema passes which meant for about £15 we could see as many films as we wanted during the span of a month but this policy was abolished and a new system has been taken up, although I'm not sure of what the new offer is.
Because the cinema has so much to offer, it is usually extremely busy at the weekend and you may find very long queues. Not very handy for parking either so it's a good idea to go early and avoid the rush. UGC has a shop offering a selection of magazines, film merchandise, movies and Cds which help to pass time by if you are there early. There is also food and driks on sale, and also a licensed bar- but they are majorly over priced- bring your own food!
For special occasions there is a 'premier suite' but at £12 a ticket I'm not sure this is worth the money. Also for the children there is a service offering parties. UGC cinemas are fantastic- but the high prices are ridiculous and if the film you see is rubbish, a waste of £6!
