Not To Be Missed!
Advantages: great value, free transport, so much to see Disadvantages: shuttle bus stops at 6pm,
...exactly as it was when Elvis and the Presley family lived there. It is, to say the least, very 1970's, but the whole retro feel just adds to the vibe.
The house has everything, from the impressive main foyer where guests were greeted, to the basement which I defy any male not to want in their own house (pool table, bars, leather seats, 3 TVs....).
The outer buildings also house a great deal to see - his father's office, the gym/racketball court, ... ...there are special exhibits covering Elvis time in the army and his movie career.
You need - and would want - a good 3 hours at least to see everything without rushing. Even the torrential October rain could not dampen our experience. The only downside was that the free shuttle bus that runs on a loop from downtown Memphis (stopping at Sun Records and the Rock & Soul Museum also) stopped at 6pm, and that the driver left by our watch a little before ...

So Beautiful!
Advantages: beautiful Disadvantages: one time visiting place
the gateway arch, st. louis, missouri, is a brilliant place! definitely worth while to travel there!! it towered over me like a giant... arch. the engineering is perfect and flawless. a shining symbol of st. louis. haha literally the arch is quite shiny... (almost a duh hun?) however the location around the arch is not as ideal, hotels and dining are quite expensive. it is expected but dimming the arch's beauty as a whole. of course this is purely ...

Intergalactic Space Travel?
Advantages: A leisurely day Disadvantages: repetative, boring for young children
Having 3 weeks in Florida, we thought we had all the time in the world to cover every place we wanted to see. In reality, we struggled, and missed out on a lot of places.
One place we didn’t miss though was the Kennedy Space Center. Located on the Atlantic Coast on Merritt Island, it took about an hour to reach in our 12 seater minibus from Kissimmee along the Beeline Expressway. The Space Center is well signposted, and you shouldn’t have any problem ... ...rural area, and we played spot the alligator with the kids as they were getting bored. The alligators can be seen in the water at the side of the road as you drive on the Island.
Parking was free, and spaces plentiful, although we did pick the last week in December to visit. The tickets cost us $27 for the adults, and $18 for the children, but we bought them from one of the discount ticket web sites. Normal admission prices are $30 for adults, and ...

Quite a dam..
Advantages: it really is a masterpiece.. Disadvantages: the tours are quite expensive
The Hoover Dam is in the USA, on the border between the two states of Arizona and Nevada. It was built in 1936 and at that time it was the world’s largest concrete structure ever built. This was up until 1945 when the Grand Coulee Dam was built in Washington was built. It currently stands as the 35th-largest hydroelectric generating station in the world. Despite the dam being quite a long way down the list of generating stations it is still one of ... ...I was randomly asked to name some dams then it would definitely be the first one that would spring to mind. As to why it is so popular I am unsure, maybe the sheer size and the location of it or the accomplishment of building it and what it meant for American architecture. Either way, it is definitely worth a glance at if you happen to be passing.
The dam is located 30 miles south-east of Las Vegas and it is very visible from the road (obviously) ...

Grand by name, grand by nature
Advantages: HUGE Disadvantages: hard to appreciate how big it is
Before going to the Grand Canyon I didn't really kow what to expect. We put it into our travels as we knew it was worth seeing but beyong that we didn't really have any expectations.
We spent a whole day at the Grand Canyon. We firstly walked around the rim, seeing the amazing views. Although what you're seeing is pretty much the same thing the whole way round at the same time what you're seeing is different due to the different colours and shapes. ... ...and rivers in the bottom and just get a feel for how big it is - something that you cannot do just by standing and looking or walking around it.
The Grand Canyon is simple what it's called! Well worth seeing especially if you're not sure what to expect. ...
