Luxury for £192+tax I recently searched the Internet for a cheap flight to Boston U.S.A. From Manchester via Philadelphia to Boston I arrived at the Airport 3 hours before my flight, as I was waiting to deposit my baggage, I was approached by someone wearing a U.S.Airways uniform and holding a clipboard. I was asked if I would like to change my flight, and instead of the original itinerary I would fly from Manchester to Dublin, and from Dublin direct to Boston arriving two hours earlier. This appealed to me therefore I took this option, on accepting I was informed that as a goodwill gesture on behalf of U.S.Airways I would be travelling first class and entitled to the benefits of the executive lounges at Manchester and Dublin. The lounge at Manchester provided buffet breakfast newspapers internet access alcoholic drinks and personal attention. The flight to Dublin included a buffet meal with half bottles of champagne to take away if you chose. On arrival at Dublin A minicoach waited for us to leave the aircraft to take us to the executive lounge even shower facilities were available Phones were provided , sandwiches, absolutely anything during the 80 minutes wait for the flight to Boston. When the flight was called we were again taken by minicoach to the departure lounge. We were shown onto the Air-Lingus wide bodied jet to the business class area of the aircraft. There were 15 passengers in this section, served throughout the flight by 5 hostess's. A choice of menu , a selection of wines, chocolate, total luxury. A truly memorable day. I did'nt fly U.S.Airways until my return home but even that flight was very good. Yes I am bound to reccommend them. Here's to the next time.
