Advantages Central, unthreatening, sociable and serves great grub and beer.
Disadvantages A little touristy these days.

This bright, cheery beer hall is a great introduction to Prague beer culture. Large enough to cater for large tour groups, which they thankfully hide away out back, locals still pack in to chat all afternoon at U Medvidku’s large, clean tables and dine on above-average interpretations of Czech classics. Always recommended to go with beer are the ubiquitous Goulash and dumplings, Svickova (Beef in a creamy sauce with dumplings and cranberries), or, as a messy sharer, Koleno (Pork Knee, served with mustard and horseradish) However, the main reason to visit is the perfectly stored and poured ... more
