THE LOCATION
You could easily miss Umami because it's situated at basement level, under the Subway and The Firkin, just by Scu Bar on the corner of Oxford Road and Grosvenor Street. I'm not sure how you'd go about parking there, as I think ... ...employees of the various establishments only, although there is a good deal of curb-side parking all around the place after 6 p.m on weekdays. Otherwise, I guess the Aquatics Centre Multi Storey around the corner is your best bet. I'd suggest that a bus is the best way to get there, being as there are squillions up and down Oxford Road and they stop literally feet from the door.

I stayed at the Tulip Inn (Trafford Centre) early in August as the Arctic Monkeys were playing at Lancashire Cricket Ground.
When we arrived the car park was quite full but had plenty of spaces, even though the hotel very obviously very busy.
