Total relaxation
Advantages: New resort, great place to relax Disadvantages: No water sports,
During the August holidays, we spent a week at the Mirimar Al Aqah resort. It was a really great holiday. The staff are friendly & polite with a sense of humour. The grounds although still young, a very pretty. The pool area was always clean, as was the pool, with ample loungers, towels & shade. There is a lifeguard on duty during the day at the pool as well as on the beach. Refreshments are easy to get, as there are always waiters milling about. ... ...wardrobe space and good sized bathrooms. Mini bar, safe, tv are all standard. A can of coke out the mini bar will cost 16 dirhams (just over £2), which is expensive, considering that it is 22 dirhams (just over £3) for a case of 24 in the supermarket. If you buy a can of coke from the bar it will cost you 14 dirhams (about £2).
The heat can be intense, if one is not used to it. If heat & sun isn't your thing, then this isn't the place for you. It ...

As you drive up to the hotel you will be greeted by several smartly dressed employees who will park your car. They will also take your baggage and bring it to your room as soon as you have checked in.

A Stress-free Mountain Retreat
Advantages: Brilliant facilities, Within the beautiful Hajar Mountain Range, Near a direct road to Dubai (and therefore good links with the airport), attentive and helpful service, Clean, Palletable food, Adventerous activities and tours Disadvantages: Dated decor from 80s period ( and with it, dated background music that plays all over the grounds, and on the telephone operating system)
...heard from friends that the Hatta Fort Hotel was doing a special offer, that if you purchased dinner on a Friday night for 250 dirhams (Approximately £42) you were given, on the night of your dinner, a free nights stay. So I thought well, for £42 why dont we go up.
My parents gave us a lift from their home in Dubai to the hotel, which is approximately and hour and a halfs drive. For obvious reasons, if staying in Dubai, you may not be able to be ... ...from your hotel to the hatta fort, for little to no cost.
However, if staying in a different hotel, such as the Burj Al Arab, or The Jumeirah Beach hotel (Jumeirah International group), or for example a holiday inn, you will need to book a taxi.
Dubai transport can take you directly from your hotel to the Hatta fort, for approximately 100 Dhs or £16 each way. Meaning a combined total of £32. I would however advise that you call the Hatta Fort hotel ...
