A wonderful family holiday at Elvden Forest!

Advantages: so family friendly
Disadvantages: csan be pricey

...you can easily go to Center Parcs and pay loads for all the extra activites however when they are young like mine (preschool) you can get away without paying any extra. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and have already booked to go back next March we also got an offer which meant that if we booked our next holiday within 28 days we get £25 of vouchers plus free travel and cancellation insurance which isnt bad! I cannot recommend Elveden Forest/Center ...

Advantages: NonE
Disadvantages: Dirty, poor organisation

The Chace Hotel, Coventry Terrible This is with out a doubt the worste organised hotel I have ever stayed with and I stay in at least 4-5 a month with work, to put it another way I am so annoyed I set up this account and wrote this review some thing I never do!. I booked a group for work some via Lastminute.com and directly with the reception. The lastminute booking where payed for prior to arrival however we where charged on depature and had a nightmare ...
...phonetically checking them over the phone) names leading to a hour wait to check in and 45 to check out... The bar in nice the rest of the hotel has been ruined with a horrible prefab annex and the main buildings rooms completly out of syle with the actual building not to mention the noise, cold, dirty room, terrrible food, bar staff who dont know how to pour a pint etc etc dont bother. ...

What a place! As a girl in her late teens, I have visited this park many times in the last few years, with family and with school, and I can honestly say I NEVER get bored! Heligan - Heaven on Earth

Advantages: Absolutely captivating
Disadvantages: Many areas lack disabled access

...sounds. Its restoration was the subject of several television programs and books. From being quite literally 'lost', Heligan was rediscovered and has been restored to its former glory with both passion and expertise. Having visited the Eden Project the day before, and having been told by a friend that Heligan far surpassed the former I thought I was well prepared for our day trip. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are ...
...to speak, unable to verbalise the sheer emotion that such a remarkable place can arouse. Let me take you on a journey… Once past the ticket office, we’re faced with a choice – to the Northern Gardens, or to the Jungle and Lost Valley? We follow the Woodland Walk towards the Jungle. The path winds gently through the trees, a wonderfully peaceful area of native planting and rural beauty which serves a practical purpose as part of the estate’s shelter ...

Butlins is great for families

Advantages: Variety of activities and value for money
Disadvantages: really can't think of any

...2 day stay at Bognor Butlins with wife and two children aged 10 and 12. Bought super saver pass on top for £10 which pays for a cinema ticket ( choice of the latest films), a proper bowling game, go karts and the adventure golf. This is very good value considering the price of cinema/bowling where I live. When you add in the splash water park ( how many of these are there around) and the evening entertainment ( we saw Circus Hilarious which was ...
...years ago went to Skegness Butlins several days self catering. Rooms were spacious and clean. The Blues Brother show in one of the themed bars was as entertaining as shows in the west end we have seen ( Mary Poppins/ Lord of the Rings/ Wicked) and we saw Chico which was good for a laugh. ...
