I first visited Alton towers when I was a child myself and have experienced the big rollercoaster's such as Air and Nemesis but this visit was completely different so thought it would be useful to do a review of a family visit. Opening times The opening times do vary it was the rides were open from ...

I made a Great Escape! No trojan horses involved

Advantages: Beautiful woodland, great day out, potential team bonding, fun!
Disadvantages: Need to book, may get muddy!

...you guessed it, that was the theme to the Great Escape…..!!!!! That was what was going through my mind anyway when I went to visit the site of the Great Escape in West Sussex. ~~What is it? An old movie or something?~~ Actually far from sitting on a sofa, The Great Escape is an amazing Woodland Challenge Course (huge assault course to you and me) with lots of exciting rope elements like a zip wire - where you are on a harness and whoosh down a ...
...be rude not to being The Great Escape and all!!!! ~~Is it safe?~~ 100%, all the staff are fully trained and qualified, you are in a harness for any high ropes elements. ~~What is the location like~~ It is absolutely beautiful - but then I visited on an amazing summers day, all the main activities are situated outdoors, the assault course is based in woodland on a private estate, while there I saw deer, squirrels, a fox and little bunnies…ahhhhh. ...

Studland bay The Isle of Purbeck

Advantages: The Sunniest Place in the Uk
Disadvantages: Maybe the Weather

Purbek to Studland bay Most people choose to take their vacations abroad, in the search of the sunnier climates, not like here in the UK, especially this summer of 2008. The seaside is a relaxing, informal escape from the pressures of the daily grind. Most people choose the abroad option. I would like to let you in to a special secret. It is possible to find paradise on our diminutive island. Seek and you will find. No. Not Alabama or Louisiana; ...
...as far south as you can get; Well almost. The coastal region of Purbek is full of unspoilt, sun-drenched, sandy beaches and natural splendours. This is the place to be. You can't get any closer to the Mediterranean than the isle of Purbeck. For short, the Jurassic coast. at these times, dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures lived in the region. Purbek was much further south and was made up primarily of muddy swamps and lagoons. There are ...

Holiday accommodation Sandown Isle of Wight

Advantages: Superb value for Money. Clean well furnished. Location for Walking, beach.
Disadvantages: Relying on uk weather.

...www.iowaccommodation.com Why visit the Isle of Wight ?? The Isle of Wight has long been an excellent place for an upmarket but traditional seaside holiday, and has a number of individual beaches and towns that were very popular with the Victorians. However, it is also becoming a must visit destination for young people seeking watersports and outdoor activities generally . Cowes is a famous yachting centre and attracts the 'London set' together ...
...location, many parts of the Isle of Wight enjoy a very mild and sunny climate. The south-east of the island in particular is known for its high sunshine records and warm air. In winter, frost is rather rare. As at May 2008, the warmest month of the year so far was May with an average high of 20C (68F) and the coolest was January with an average high of 10C (50F) and the warmest day of the year enjoyed a high of 27C (81F). However, June to September ...

Maidstone Review

Advantages: Great Clubs/Pubs/Bars/Restaurants/Shops
Disadvantages: A slight attitude problem with local youths.

I have lived in the Maidstone area all my life and have had various experiences in the 22 years i've been here. SHOPPING:- Maidstone town centre has many many shops to cater for everyones needs. Sport shops, music shops, card shops you've got your Argos and also fair share of fast food restaurants. With the newly built Fremlin Walk area of the town now completed it improves the shopping even further in Maidstone. House of Fraser being my personal ...
...When darkness falls on Maidstone the town stays as active and as busy as it is during the day. At the top of end of town you have your bars and civilised bar/clubs to visit and down the bottom end of town you have the Odeon complex which consists of 2 Night Clubs, a Cinema, HotShots, which is like a bar/club with pool tables etc, used mainly as a meeting point before you hit the clubs, 4 restaurants and a Burger King so plenty to do in there! Also ...
