Marriott hotels - could be better!

Advantages: Many hotels have lesuire facilties, food normally very good

Agatha Christie sort of hotel

Advantages: quietly luxurious but not pretentious
Disadvantages: None

spa - without treatments?

Advantages: nice hotel in lovely village with very nice food and generally friendly staff
Disadvantages: lack of spa treatments available and shockingly rude Duty Manager

I booked a one-nght spa break for my sister and I for her 40th birthday for £200 (it was a 2-1 from lastminute.com). When we arrived we were told that there were no treatments available, including the one we'd paid for as part of our package. Not Perfect But Not Far Off

Advantages: Convenient location, lovely rooms, modern facilities
Disadvantages: Random phone call to room due to confusion with staff
