a great nights sleep!

Advantages: clean, tidy, staff very helpful
Disadvantages: prices

To be honest we weren't expecting much from this hotel, we had booked a room following our xmas work's 'do' there last year (instead of worrying about getting a taxi...) We expected it to be a typical 'stop over' accommodation, but much to our delight we were met with a neat, clean tidy and quite lavish foyer. The staff were polite and very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. the food and drinks, although on the pricey side was of high quality. ...
...of the hotel, clean, tidy and in very good condition. we had an issue with the bathroom light (one of the bulbs had blown)and this was sorted immediately. There is also ample parking, and for those planning to stay longer, it is relatively close to a large supermarket and a short drive to town. We weren't traveling with a child, so I couldn't advise how child friendly they are, but based on how WE were treated I imagine it would be suitable for children. ...

Holiday Inn Shepperton - prebooked? Beware - if you cancel

...had a problem with a Holiday Inn booking in the '80s in the USA - wishing to transfer from a Holiday Inn in Hollywood where we had been staying to one at Anaheim - they made the transfer ok - but still charged us for the days stay not taken at Hollywood ! BEWARE FOLKS IF YOU MAKE A PREPAID BOOKING WITH HOLIDAY INNS AND THEN NEED TO CANCEL - THEY WILL STILL CHARGE YOU REGARDLESS !! A freezing cold with broken heating not so Welcome Cottage

Advantages: nice spacious family holiday home
Disadvantages: no help contactable when heating broken in mid-winter

The house is owned by Mike Franklin, who would appear to own many holiday lets - he certainly owns number 5 Bure Cottages too. Basic ok for overnight stop

Disadvantages: Basic ok for overnight and short stays.

Stayed at this hotel on several occassions, usually booked in the Travelodge Sale, and always been satisfied. Rooms are basic and good value when booked at discount, but we feel the Premier nearby offers better value if paying the full rate. Rooms have basic tea making facilities, bathrooms with showers over and basic tv packages. Beds have always been comfortable and extra bedding provided on request. If opens are open at night, noise can be a problems as this is on the race route around the town centre.
