Lichfield Holiday Inn Express.
Advantages: Comfortable Disadvantages: High price.
I have stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions.
It is fairly expensive but the price does include breakfast in the morning. It is cheaper at the weekend than it is during the week.
The rooms are very clean and fresh and all have an en suite shower room. Each room also has a tv, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and an alarm clock built into the tv. In the shower room you get a shower, sink and toilet. They provide you with 2 bath towels ... ...mounted disensers and is made by Dove.
I stayed in a double room with a comfortable double bed, a small sofa, a desk and a chair.
The location is just outside Shenstone near the Wall island. There is a McDonalds next door but any noise from there you cant hear as the room is double glazed. There is also a leisure centre/health spa located close by, I believe it is an esporta one.
It is suitable for commuters who need an overnight stop somewhere ...

Ideal hotel for families visiting Southampton
Advantages: Family friendly, comfortable, good location Disadvantages: Rooms too small for long term stays
This hotel is easy to find, situated off the M271. Despite its location close to the motorway, it is a quiet place to stay. From this location you are 10 minutes away from the city centre and under 5 minutes to the M27 which provides access to the New Forest to the west and the M3 and Portsmouth to the east. Parking is plentiful and well lit. Booking-in was simple which is appreciated when you have tired and impatient children to contend with! Rooms ... ...well stocked and tasty - although cooked breakfasts are not available, there is something for everyone. Reception staff were very helpful and provided good local knowledge. We often travel to Southampton to visit friends and family and rate this hotel as one of the better ones of its price range. ...

Plane Spotters Paradise!
Advantages: fairly cheap, very close to airoprt Disadvantages: staff
...was cheap!
Overall, the express by Holiday Inn at Luton airport is very good if you have a flight at Luton as you are so close, you can see planes all around the hotel but we were not disturbed at night by any noises. It's quite cheap, a double room for a night costing two of us nearly £25 which is not bad. I would definitely recommend it. ...

HI express Dartford - Decent VFM
Advantages: Price (for London), Location, Standard of Rooms and incl breakfast Disadvantages: Facilities, Nearly always full for late bookings
...of four, The holiday Inn express at Dartford bridge is our usual stop.
We stay here because of the typical room pricing and quality compared to other Hotels in the area.
If you join the HI priority club the usual price per night of a stay there is in the Region of £50.00 at the weekend (Thats 12.50 per person per night) and includes Breakfast (not cooked full english, but help yourself buffet style with cereal, pastries, toast, fruit juice and ... ...pool etc but then the express chain is not targetted at that market.
A free newspaper (The Independent) is provided every day and a bowl of fruit is in reception from which you are free to help yourself to an Item.
There is an Ice maker and vending machine near reception and you can take the ice back to your room.
Although they have a restaurant they are very relaxed about getting food delivered from local take aways (eg pizza hut) and will provide ...

On this occasion I was left eating my words
Advantages: Conveniently located, Easy to find, pets allowed Disadvantages: No on site dining facilities or room service
...wouldn't drag me into a Holiday Inn Express (aka Express by Holiday Inn), but I needed somewhere reasonably priced to stay near Staffordshire Country Show Ground that would accept dogs. My former Stafford hideaway, the Tillington Hall won't consider dogs unless they are guide dogs, and all the other 'larger chains' wouldn't either, so it was the HI Express or get up VERY early on the Thursday morning.
LOCATION
With 103 Guest rooms, it is conveniently ... ...commonly known as Express by Holiday Inn, STAFFORD M6, JCT.13. It is an ideal location for visits to Stafford, Alton Towers, Staffordshire University, the Potteries and the Staffordshire County Show Ground. CHECK-IN
Reception was busy, alongside a bar, and I am sorry to say, very understaffed - sadly this seems to be a common feature of UK hotels in current times. That said, the staff were friendly and efficient when it came to check in, dealing ...
