Maid for a wonderful stay

Advantages: Historic property, recently refurbished rooms, good breakfast
Disadvantages: Front desk staff who don't know what's going on

...summer I wound up selecting the four star Maids Head Hotel which is part of the Folio Hotels group. My parents spent a week there leading up to the wedding so we were in and out of the hotel all week. My brothers spent three nights in a room with two twins. My bridesmaids and I stayed in the Cathedral Suite the night before the wedding and then my husband and I stayed there the night of the wedding. Most of my husband's family also stayed in the ...
...feedback on the property. THE LOCATION The Maids Head Hotel is on the roundabout of the popular Tombland area in Norwich. There are a range of restaurant chains right on the doorstep including Whetherspoons, La Tasca, Café Uno and Zizzi's. It is also right next to the Norwich Cathedral. It is a walkable distance from both the railstation and bus station but those with luggage who are arriving to either of those locations would probably like to take ...

Fantastic Hotel

Advantages: very central to all the local tourist attractions
Disadvantages: a boring route round the m25 to get there from surrey!

...anyone who thinks that all Best Westerns are just business mens hotels. Dont bother going to kings lynn tho, we tried to see if it was worth a visit on the harleys but we were faced with horrid industrial estates and one way systems. We stayed in the new wing, which despite having settlement cracks which is to be expected was 5 star standard. ...

Ideal hotel for a quiet night

Advantages: Quiet, staff are pretty good, cost, location
Disadvantages: Atmosphere, no cooked breakfast some mornings

...in a small town called Wymondham (pronounce it Windom). It's a charming little town with a very historic looking main street where the hotel is situated. The hotel looks old from the outside; I reckon the building must date back around 200 years, all of which adds a little charm to the whole place. You can't access the front of the hotel by car & need to negotiate the one way system to get around the back for parking. There is not a lot of parking ...
...the hotel, but if you arrive early enough you should be alright. If you're walking or being dropped off by taxi you can of course access the hotel from the front or back if required. Checking in is usually pretty efficient & the staff will even help you locate your room if required. I have stayed in various rooms over the years; some people may describe the place as being quite quaint, I would describe it as being a bit dated & small depending on ...

A Genteel & Long Lost Charm

Advantages: Quiet and Unsophisticated
Disadvantages: Some of the Rooms are a little small.

This is a very \"olde world\" Hotel, set in an increasingly popular part of the UK. But I say \"olde world\" in a positive sense. Forget the \"Le Strange\" if your leisure objectives involves a fantastic facilities-a Spa here, a multi gym there, maybe an adjacent night club or leisire pool. No, the \"Le Strange\" boasts nothing more than a Billiard Room, quietly and unobtrusively hidden away down a discreet staircase. The Service is considered ...
...calm and committed to helping you in any way they can. They\'ll caht with you, share their day, their views, treat you as a fellow human being. Its hard not to do exactly the same with them in return, and this makes for a charming atmosphere. The Rooms are perfectly acceptable. Clean, modern, contemporary. The top floor suites are very fine indeed, spacious, modern, easy to spend and lose time in, especially with those stunning views over the Wash ...

Christmas at Cranage

Advantages: Attractive hotel, good facilities, excellent party atmosphere
Disadvantages: Expensive bar prices, rude waiting staff

...with his work colleagues at Cranage Hall which is in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. As this was some distance from home, we treated ourselves to a night away in the hotel without the kids, making a good night even better! Cranage Hall is part of the Principal Hayley group of conference venues and hotels but for us it was the setting of our Christmas 'do' and a well-deserved night away. Christmas Deals Our party had taken advantage of one of the ...
...when we pulled up outside Cranage Hall. The exterior is very grand and imposing and it was much bigger than I expected. Our sat nav managed to direct us to the hotel without any problems as the hotel is just a couple of miles out of Holmes Chapel, in the village of Cranage. There was more than adequate car parking available, despite the hotel being packed with other Christmas revellers, although it did mean a short walk over to the main entrance ...
