Last Drop Village Hotel
Advantages: Full usage of Spa, gym, pool Disadvantages: Choice of food served in main restaurant
We have recently returned from our 3-day break at this hotel. After reading other reviews of this hotel we were very apprehensive about our stay. On our arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We were given very clear details of the facilities available to us and also breakfast and dinner times. Our executive room was lovely , clean and warm and well worth the extra supplement. Great choice at breakfast and carvery ... ...Inn. In my opinion we have had a very pleasurable stay, staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.Glad to see that the small quaint shops were still to the rear of the hotel which are not mentioned on their website. In my opinion there website does not do the hotel justice and needs some updating. If you want to stay in a traditional hotel then this is the one surroundings are lovely. Overall we have had a very pleasurable stay. ...

Does its job
Advantages: Nice location, clean, cheap Disadvantages: Creaky floors, not the best rooms ever
The hotel is in a nice location and the rooms are clean. The staff are friendly and it is a safe environment and provides a car park.
Im not sure wether the rooms have been re-vamped since I stayed, as the bathroom at the time was superb and newly installed, however the rooms themselves werent the best. They were satisfactory but not wowing - which I suppose is reflected in the relatively low price. Also, the floors were very creaky, and when I ... ...low to see from the bed.
This hotel does its job as a pleasant place to stay while visiting the picturesque town of Harrogate, if you dont a want fancy luxorious room. If you are looking for the best experience I would go for a more expensive room elsewhere, but this hotel is by no means below standards or a bad experience and I would stay there again given the same circumstances. ...

Stratford Manor A Tranquil Retreat
Advantages: Clean, friendly, child friendly, pets allowed, lovely environment Disadvantages: Can get very busy with slow service and not all staff are very friendly
...it than in Shakespeare Countryside, Stratford Upon Avon? Having lived in Coventry which is in the West Midlands I am familiar with Stratford Upon Avon and how beautiful it is. The scenery there is lush and it is definitely Shakespeare Countryside. As well as being a local tourist attraction Stratford Upon Avon is also a quite part of the Country. After purchasing overnight accommodation from Lastminute.com I was set for my journey. There were many ... ...On arrival at The Stratford Manor I was amazed by the 21 acres of landscaped, tended grounds. The gardens were beautiful and so well kept. I couldn't believe that this was where we were staying for a few days rest and best of all we didn't have to worry about our daughter. As much as I love her sometimes a rest is well needed. I was awestruck by the beautiful grounds they were simply breathtaking and a perfect destination for some solitude. I'm a ...

The village hotel & leisure club in Wirral.
Advantages: Clean and fresh Disadvantages: Like a rabbit Warren
The village hotel & leisure club in Wirral
Have recently joined here and at £32 per month, each, we feel we have a bargain. They even waved the joining fee, normally £70.
We joined, my wife and I, on the ‘Flexi’ promotion. This is where you are only tied in for 3 months as opposed to the ‘Full’ 12 month tie in.
Extras given include £15 to spend in their restaurants, 10% discounts in the bars and coffee shop and ... ...to a free week in the gym, pool etc worth £70.
If you recommend someone and they join you also get £50 of a nights stay in the hotel.
A fair few incentives but to be honest we just want to use the leisure facilities.
My wife is recovering from Breast Cancer and she has some back problems resulting from the Radiography. She also has restricted movement in the arm and shoulder from where the lymph glands where removed so we initially joined for ...

Isles of Glencoe Hotel, Ballachulish
Advantages: Beautiful scenery and lots to do Disadvantages: Expensive
I visited the Isles of Glencoe Hotel in April 2008 with my partner. It was a last minute decision to book a long weekend away to Scotland, and it was by far the best choice we could have made.
The views on the drive up to the hotel from Glasgow airport were amazing, and once at the hotel, the scenery was absolutely breath taking. It couldn't have been situated in nicer surroundings.
There was plenty to do surrounding the hotel, whether it be outside ... ...hotel grounds were also ample, having a swimming pool and sauna provided, as well as outdoor activities on the the loch. There were also many walks and climbs just outside the main entrance. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious, however the service could be quite solw. This was not really a problem as it was such a relaxing break that it was quite nice to sit and chill out in the restaurant. Drinks were also ...
