De-lightful and stunning venue!
Advantages: Excellent service, beautiful grounds, superb accommodation Disadvantages: Not close to public transport access
...if you go to the De Vere website. After lunch we took and gentle stroll in the grounds, and were able to view parts of the golf course that are part of the complex.
As we were only staying for a long weekend, we didn't get the chance to make use of the spa and pool, which looked fantastic, and we only briefly had the chance to make use of the spacious bar area.
The only slightly negative point I would raise, is that it is not close to any public ... ...our stay directly through the De Vere website (www.devere.co.uk), and would advise to check under their "Offers" tab, as we found that they were offering 2 nights for the price 1 for the weekend we travelled, however given the wonderful level of service and standards we experienced, we would have no issues in booking this accommodation again, at the full price! ...

Sprowston Manor - Delightful Countryside Retreat
Advantages: Large, good facilities Disadvantages: Somewhat expensive, suprisingly low standard of service
...by my girlfriend's father to Sprowston Manor to celebrate his 50th birthday. I must say that every aspect of the stay was absolutely fantastic and I would not have any hesitation in recommending this old manor house hotel to anybody.
Upon arrival we were greeted at the door by a porter, who took our luggage into the lobby for us, and placed it upon a luggage trolley. After a slight delay at check in (as my girlfriends dad was wanting to pay using ... ...do this!) we were on our way to our room, passing the swimming and sauna area on the way up.
That was the first thing we did after getting to our room, we went for a swim. The pool isn't the biggest and I can imagine is quite unpleasant when crowded, but we didn't experience this, and perhaps never is. The pool attendant was very helpful and polite, helping us by giving us towels and showing us where the changing rooms were.
Mid afternoon we had ...

Something different in the Norfolk countryside
Advantages: Location, lovely rooms, friendly staff Disadvantages: Not easy to find, parking can be difficult at times
Not the easiest place to find but once found it is situated in a rather lovely part of the Norfolk countryside. During my stay in late June the hotel had suffered some minor flood damage the day before but this didn't effect my stay at all. The rooms with en-suite facilities are pleasantly decorated & well equipped with comfortable beds, TV, coffee making facilities & hair dryer. The main restaurant is on two levels & with fantastic views over the ...

Good service but with language problems.
Advantages: Views Disadvantages: Polish workers
Me and my partner stayed here in April and found the room and the hotel to be very comfortable.
It is definitely a 3 star hotel, I wouldn't rate it any higher.
We found the reception service extremely fast and efficient, mainly due to us being the only one's checking in at the time.
The bar area was well staffed, albeit by Polish workers who mistook my request for 3 packets of salt and vinegar crisps as 3 sambucca shots.
The hotel was clean and ... ...Room service was slightly pricey but that is what we expected for out of hours service.
Car parking was an issue as it was used by non-guests and that made it hard to find a space.
We were forced to park a Mercedes on the far edge of the car park in the darkness which was slightly worrying.
It is a family friendly hotel, as we saw children being well looked after and entertained by staff. ...

Christmas at Cranage
Advantages: Attractive hotel, good facilities, excellent party atmosphere Disadvantages: Expensive bar prices, rude waiting staff
...with his work colleagues at Cranage Hall which is in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. As this was some distance from home, we treated ourselves to a night away in the hotel without the kids, making a good night even better! Cranage Hall is part of the Principal Hayley group of conference venues and hotels but for us it was the setting of our Christmas 'do' and a well-deserved night away. Christmas Deals
Our party had taken advantage of one of the ... ...when we pulled up outside Cranage Hall. The exterior is very grand and imposing and it was much bigger than I expected. Our sat nav managed to direct us to the hotel without any problems as the hotel is just a couple of miles out of Holmes Chapel, in the village of Cranage. There was more than adequate car parking available, despite the hotel being packed with other Christmas revellers, although it did mean a short walk over to the main entrance ...
