Last Drop Village Hotel Advantages: Full usage of Spa, gym,pool Disadvantages: Choice of food served in main restaurant We have recently returned from our 3-day break at this hotel. After reading other reviews of this hotel we were very apprehensive about our stay. On our arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We were given very clear details of the facilities available to us and also breakfast and dinner times. Our executive room was lovely , clean and warm and well worth the extra supplement. Great choice at breakfast and carvery ... ...Inn. In my opinion we have had a very pleasurable stay,staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.Glad to see that the small quaint shops were still to the rear of the hotel which are not mentioned on their website. In my opinion there website does not do the hotel justice and needs some updating. If you want to stay in a traditional hotel then this is the one surroundings are lovely. Where's The Wifi, Where's The playstation Advantages: Reasonably priced, centrally located accommodation Disadvantages: Not everything that was offered online was available ...for, part of the prestigious De Vere group the Royal Bath is situated on Bournemouth’s sea front, just a few yards from the beach, pier, park and Oceanarium. This grand looking hotel offers a fair bit of promise externally as it dominates a large portion of the sea front. Unable to receive Internet access via my dongle (mobile broadband) I found myself without Internet access for my stay, there was not even a wired Internet option like a lot of hotels have. I could happily live without a playstation, but if I had company that had been expecting it like one of my kids, it could undoubtedly lead to disappointment. Good airport hotel, but not so good customer service! Advantages: Clean and comfortable Disadvantages: Customer service ...have stayed in Express by Holiday Inn hotels quite often over the last few years and only once had a problem, which resulted in me receiving a refund so all was well in the end. I have never experienced any problem with checking in at any of the hotels, so maybe I was due one! And yes, I have to report that on this occasion I had some problems! I was greeted by a member of staff on checking in, and then I was asked to pay for my stay. I explained ... ...of the nights had been taken from my bank account shortly after as a deposit. I had managed to secure a special rate of £60 per night online, but the terms had stated a deposit must be made at time of booking, and £60 had been taken from my account, so I now owed them £60 for the second night. However, I was told by the young girl checking me in that the special rate was £88 per night, not £60 and she needed a payment of £88 plus another £28 which ... Great hotel Advantages: lovely rooms, nice food and fab facilities Disadvantages: none really I recently stayed overnight at the chine hotel in Bournemouth whilst in the area for a friends wedding. It is currently rated as a three star hotel, but I cannot for the life of me see why as I found it to be of at least four star standard. There are 86 rooms, all of which incorporate an en suite bathroom and are decorated to a decent standard. All rooms include a hair dryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone, satellite television (selected channels ... ...There are four types of rooms available in relation to the view they offer the guests. The basic room is an inland room, then there is a garden facing room and finally the sea views and sea views with balcony (the prices are slightly higher for these). Rude, disinterested staff Advantages: fabulous rooms and function suites Disadvantages: terrible food, god awful staff I agree whole heartedly with the other reviewers comments. I have stayed there twice now,for my partners works christmas party last year and the year before. The rooms are stunning with amazing views but unfortunately the staff are rude at worst and disinterested and ineffectual at best.
