Ramada Encore Bournemouth - Customer Service Needs Improving Advantages: Clean spacious rooms Disadvantages: Customer service levels lets the hotel down The Ramada Encore in Bournemouth is a well placed hotel within walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants as well as the beach and surroundings attractions. At the time of writing there are over 70 Ramada hotels in the UK. ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN The hotel was easy enough to spot from the main road as it has a large sign in front to indicate its presence. Great hotel Advantages: lovely rooms, nice food and fab facilities Disadvantages: none really I recently stayed overnight at the chine hotel in Bournemouth whilst in the area for a friends wedding. It is currently rated as a three star hotel, but I cannot for the life of me see why as I found it to be of at least four star standard. There are 86 rooms, all of which incorporate an en suite bathroom and are decorated to a decent standard. All rooms include a hair dryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone, satellite television (selected channels ... ...There are four types of rooms available in relation to the view they offer the guests. The basic room is an inland room, then there is a garden facing room and finally the sea views and sea views with balcony (the prices are slightly higher for these). A & D Rowlands Advantages: Just across the road from the BIC Disadvantages: Bournemouth eing a bit hilly We stayed at The Hermitage Hotel in Bournemouth for one night, we found that all the staff were attentive and helpful. We had coffee down stairs in the lounge section greeted by a smiling waiter (nothing seemed too much trouble ) then went shopping. We had a three course meal in the evening before we went to see a show at the BIC the eveing meal was excellent ( better than some of the restaurants in the area ) again the staff were attentive but not ... ...atmosphere. The room was clean and up to date, the television only picked up 4 channels when there was suppose to be more. We had breakfast in the morning good food but have had better, i feel that maybe a self service of the whole service would be better. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will be going back when we see another show that we want to see ... Advantages: Centrally located hotel in Bournemouth Disadvantages: Old building means prone to squeaky floorboards ...in the RAC rated **** Norfolk Royale Hotel, located in the central town area of Bournemouth. Arriving at the hotel, there is an area at the front where you can drive in and park whilst you check in. (You can also park in this area overnight, or in the underground carpark - each charged at £9 per night). Checking in is straightforward - although you will need to leave credit / debit card details, but this is standard practice. Reception is in the ... ...chairs, an open fire and a bar. You will be given a keycard, and told where your room is. (On my visits, a porter service was not visable, although may have been available on request). The hotel itself is quite old, but is currently being updated. The front of the hotel is the original building, which whilst is attractive, has one or two drawbacks. Excellent value for money in a lovely location Advantages: Price, location, rooms Disadvantages: Time taken to get meal ...is a member of the Best Western Group and has a 3 star rating with the AA. It was constructed in 1901 but has an older, elegant earlier Victorian appearance. Note – that the hotel is completely no-smoking.
