Jacobean Splendour?
Advantages: The driveway!, Beautiful brand new bedrooms, picturesque surroundings, excellent service Disadvantages: none
...in the hands of the Crewe family for around 300 years until ownership changed in the 1900s. The building itself is a Grade 1 listed building, which gives you an idea of its significance. As I drove up through the gates of the hotel and down the tree-lined drive, I knew I was about to see a very special hotel. The gardens and driveway are impeccably manicured and there is ample parking to the front of the property, despite it being fairly ... ...break sometime soon.
Overall, Crewe Hall is a very memorable hotel, yet is suitable for guests on business or leisure and I know I will be back for a two night break before too much longer particularly as there is plenty to see and do in this area and especially as it is close to family and friends for me.. Two night offers are available from £189 for two people total package, and this does include dinner in the restaurant on the first night. Crewe ...

Weekend Away - Amazing location..
Advantages: Not far from Twycross Zoo - Excellent Zoo, stunning surroundings Disadvantages: Unfriendly, rooms needed some care (a good clean or revamp)
£85 for the room - so guess we were expecting a little something special.. Staff - grumpy or sould I say very amateur. We stayed for 1 night with our 16 month old. Room up 3 flights of stairs, lift was not working - they never even told us there was a lift! Ok so there were 3 weddings going on - which I have to say made no difference to us, very quiet and no hassle. Walking along the coridoors the sofas really needed a good clean - entering our room ... ...a good scrub, bath was a tad on the grubby side - Shower was excellent, very powerful. Bed - you could definitely feel those springs and pillows were like pancakes. Carpet needed the cleaners in. Didnt even attempt the tea - coffee facilities. However it is in the most amazing surroundings. Oh we booked a non smoking room to be greetted with an ashtray. Breakfast ok - Waitress was on the night before and she tried to haggle on the supposed Free bottle ...

Hilton - Norwich
Advantages: Location - close to the airport Disadvantages: Excellent if you like 80's retro and bad service
My husband and I were there for a friend's wedding in August 2002 and found the hotel very poor for what is supposed to be a top-notch chain. Notably, the bedrooms were fitted out in the 80's and are very dated in decor/bathrooms. There was no sign of air-conditioning.
As for the service, they ran out of champagne before they got to us for the toasts! And this is at a wedding! We couldn't believe it...
Breakfast the next morning was hilarious. ...

Oh what a night
Advantages: It had many good areas to visit surrounding the hotel Disadvantages: The noise levels and some dirty areas in the room
...I found the Travelodge hotel which is in a nice location and very easy to find. You have this tower feature which is propelled from the building into the air to sort of give you a signal that is where the hotel is. I walked in at 7pm in the evening and I asked for the cheapest room they had available for me for a single night. I was given a price of £45 and this was apparently a saver deal for a single room. They only gave me this price because they ... ...told at the desk did I want a breakfast box for the morning and I had no idea what this was. It contained a smoothie drink something fruity, a flapjack bar, cereal in a box, Pg Tips or Kenco depending on your own preference and a piece of fruit was also given, this was an additional £4.50 on top of the price. This was waiting outside my room the following morning for me to enjoy inside my very own room. As I approached the lift to the first floor ...

Cardigan 25, Quay West Holiday Park, New Quay, Wales. Nick Meaney
Advantages: Nice Clean Holiday Park Disadvantages: Park And Local Town On A Slope, So Not Good For Disabled.
...plight.
He told us that Haven have nothing to do with private bookings and he couldn't help.
I also wrote to Stuart Williams after our telephone conversation and asked him to pass a separate letter onto Nick Meaney and Claire Davies for us, which he agreed to do.
I rang Stuart Williams later that week and he confirmed that he had received the letter and would pass it on.
We have never had any acknowledgement of this letter from Nick Meaney and ... ...on to us !!!
This all just confirms that they NEVER had any intention of returning our money.
P.S.
If you are considering booking a privately owned caravan on a Haven Holiday Park, just remember, if anything goes wrong, you are on your own, Haven will not support you. ...
