The perfect romantic getaway Advantages: Beautiful rooms, great service Disadvantages: Expensive ...never paid to stay at the Chester Grosvenor myself - but have stayed here for business for at least 6 weeks per year for the past 5 years. Value for money it isnt but if you are not paying then enjoy the ride! The hotel is centrally located in the middle of Chester - if you are driving to the hotel then you have to navigate a slightly confusing one way system but having won that challenge you park in the NCP carpark (free for hotel residents). Reception staff are friendly and welcoming - they are always happy to recommend restaurants or activities to do in Chester. Luxury at Stapleford Park Advantages: Pure luxury! Disadvantages: I'm glad my company was paying for it! ...for an overnight stay at Stapleford Park in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. I work for a large investment house and every year the company holds a sales conference at a smart country hotel and the whole sales team is invited. Although, I should probably point out that by the word 'conference' I actually mean piss-up. I drove through Melton Mowbray at nine in the morning, and had a chance to quickly admire the beautiful olde-worlde village before ... ...do on the grounds at Stapleford Park (they have beautifully-kept gardens, a golf course sports equipment and a spa), I only got to have a whistle stop tour of it the next day before I left. A Cosy Place To Rest My Head Advantages: good price, nice place Disadvantages: - ...location, I opted for the Stafford Hotel on City Road as it seemed to be in a quite central location and I wanted something more traditional than the typical Premier Inn or Travelodge. I arrived in Chester as I decided to leave the car behind and travel by rail. I have visited a few times before but normally by car so am not good with the street name around there. very clean and an all over pleasurable experience Advantages: comfortable bed, pleasant Disadvantages: check out time I stopped at the Premier Travel Inn over night for a friends wedding and found it a very nice hotel. I booked over the phone through Premier travel in directly and it was a clear and easy process with an actual operater not a computer voice and i was offered breakfast at the beefeater restaurant for an extra fee which i kindly accepted. Upon arrival i paid and was given a key check out time and breakfast times for the following morning. The room ... ...T.V, 2 chairs, a desk and a complimentary cup of tea. The bathroom was quite basic but has everything you need a shower, a bath, toilet and a set of soaps and shampoo and bath towels.
