Live like a Lord or Lady - Welcome to Ston Easton Park Hotel.

Advantages: Brilliant luxury hotel. Great location. Great value on late rate. Excellent dinner
Disadvantages: Can be expensive! Back to earth with a bump once you leave!

...the majestic grandeur that is Ston Easton Park near Bath in the UK. If you are looking for an amazing romantic getaway then this has to be worth considering! I had been away in KL for two weeks in March this year and had missed my partner dearly so still having a few days off work we thought why not get a few days away. Ston Easton here we come! Booking Ston Easton Park is part of the Von Essen Hotel collection, arguably the UK’s most luxurious ...
...Essen website I settled on Ston Easton as it was part of the UK I had never been to before. I decided that Bath and Bristol would give an interesting area to explore during the days and that this would be suitable place to stay. When you visit their website you will be greeted by a number of offers and if it is later on in the week and the occupancy for the weekend is going to be low then there can be some exceptional deals, one of which we took ...

Christmas at Cranage

Advantages: Attractive hotel, good facilities, excellent party atmosphere
Disadvantages: Expensive bar prices, rude waiting staff

...with his work colleagues at Cranage Hall which is in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. As this was some distance from home, we treated ourselves to a night away in the hotel without the kids, making a good night even better! Cranage Hall is part of the Principal Hayley group of conference venues and hotels but for us it was the setting of our Christmas 'do' and a well-deserved night away. Christmas Deals Our party had taken advantage of one of the ...
...when we pulled up outside Cranage Hall. The exterior is very grand and imposing and it was much bigger than I expected. Our sat nav managed to direct us to the hotel without any problems as the hotel is just a couple of miles out of Holmes Chapel, in the village of Cranage. There was more than adequate car parking available, despite the hotel being packed with other Christmas revellers, although it did mean a short walk over to the main entrance ...

This place should be more than 3 stars!

Advantages: Beautiful location, friendly staff and clean, functional rooms
Disadvantages: Too far away from my house!

At the end of November - my Dad was married in Scotland. He booked the Tigh Na Mara hotel out for all the family, this included all the rooms they hotel has so I can helpfully rate the hotel as a whole. The hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodation. The hotel also has a bar/pub, and around the back is a restaurant. Both of these are open to the public. The picture which is displayed for the Tigh Na Mara isn't correct - I will attach the correct ...
...beach, which is unspoilt. Opposite The Tigh Na Mara hotel is a park, which consists of 2 adult swings, 2 baby swings, a slide and a see-saw. Also in the village is a Tea Room and a post office/mini-market. The rest is made up of quaint village houses, and the hotel, pub and restaurant of the Tigh Na Mara. Nearby Attractions Located nearby is the town of Stranraer, where ferries can be taken to Ireland. Port Patrick, The Mull of Galloway - which ...

A good nights sleep before your jollies!

Advantages: Clean, close to the airport and decent rooms
Disadvantages: None I could find

...the night before in the Holiday inn Gatwick. This is my opinion on the hotel as I was quite pleased with the place and thought it would be worth recommending to others who may need an airport hotel at Gatwick. Booking: I booked my room over the phone - I had no choice to do it this way because I receive discounted rates that are only book able over the phone. However it was very quick to get through, easy to book and the gentleman I spoke to was ...
...booked to stay at the Holiday Inn Heathrow but, changed to Gatwick because of flights and was not charged for the amendment as it was done before 1pm on day arrival and the gentleman I spoke to the second time was also very pleasant and quick to help. I cannot fault the booking service at all so give them a thumbs up for this - plus once booked I am able to view it online in my profile. Getting to the hotel: We arrived from Gatwick airport and ...

Oh what a night

Advantages: It had many good areas to visit surrounding the hotel
Disadvantages: The noise levels and some dirty areas in the room

...I found the Travelodge hotel which is in a nice location and very easy to find. You have this tower feature which is propelled from the building into the air to sort of give you a signal that is where the hotel is. I walked in at 7pm in the evening and I asked for the cheapest room they had available for me for a single night. I was given a price of £45 and this was apparently a saver deal for a single room. They only gave me this price because they ...
...told at the desk did I want a breakfast box for the morning and I had no idea what this was. It contained a smoothie drink something fruity, a flapjack bar, cereal in a box, Pg Tips or Kenco depending on your own preference and a piece of fruit was also given, this was an additional £4.50 on top of the price. This was waiting outside my room the following morning for me to enjoy inside my very own room. As I approached the lift to the first floor ...
